Do any UK stores allow online paypal payment & instore collection?

Hey folks,

A quick question, because like others I dont have access to my stealth addresses and I would like to have options (if possible in the UK) for buying.

Our brothers and sisters across in the USA & Canada are able to buy using paypal from an online store and then say Mr. X Y or Z is going to be able to collect. Mr X Y or Z turns up with his ID and collects instore.

Does this option exist in the UK with any of the paypal stores we can shop with online?

Thanks,

Global

boots is one we discussed, but nobody has updated how much proof they require though upon collection. Their help pages indicate none is required. You mention ID, so if it is in your name or variation then you should be ok.

very little in UK.....

what about Argos ?

I do it all the time with my supplier. Pay by Paypal and collect in person.

And they are happy with that.............

Hey folks

Yes i would be wanting to collect in my name using my own iD.

It seems very widespread in the US yet like i had suspected, not widely adopted in the UK.

Argos state you have to have home delivery when you go through to attempt a purchase. They would have been excellent if it had been possible.

Boots is an interesting one aswell though. Esp. For gifts at Christmas etc.

Any others?

So home deliveries might need to go elsewhere ....on account of that unexpected problem
:spy:

Be careful of Christmas though.... paypal does 'up' security & checks for out of the ordinary transactions :spy:

If you have a store in mind why don't you just ring and explain that you live with a number of people and do not want it delivered to the address as it might go missing.

Just say you would prefer to collect, I can't see the problem with that...

no argos do not do it. you need to pay when you collect. I agree calling any store may be a way, but seems to me their procedures would block it and would not bend rules.

What about thetoyshop.com?

You can pay via paypal and put in a different delivery address. Collection in store is a no-no as they will ask for the account holder's ID.

true, alot/most places that accept paypal and do deliveries, will allow a delivery address.

I would be v careful when dealing with the paypal payment screen in this instance as often paypal will log the delivery address, and it will be under paypal as one of your addresses, it cannot be removed by you, only by request to C.S....
