Importing BLANK DVDs

Hi All :yar:

I want to start importing blank DVDs from China packed on a spindle, each pack containing 50 or 100 blank DVDs. In total maybe 4-6 packs in a box. Not too many anyway. I found very nice design which I didn't see for sale anywhere else and I want to see how it will sell in UK. I know customs "like" DVDs from China a LOT! :D Is anyone importing blank DVDs? Do your parcels arrive in one piece from customs or do customs rip them a part and check every single pack for contraband most of time?

Muchas gracias :hail:

I have no experience in this or in your country, but based on logical thinking, a blank DVD shouldn't pose any trouble even if they were to open and inspect, which is random a lot of times.

Wouldn't buying them locally be cheaper, specially with the cost of the item + shipping?

De nada

Customs and excise have no interest in blank media - unless they have reason to believe it is not as it is presented

There are, as far as I am aware, no UK producers of blank media therefore it follows that all available blank CDs/DVDs have been imported.

If you are batting with a straight bat and you pay your customs duties and VAT you will have no problems at all.

But - if you are playing silly boy lemon you can expect endless problems.

Same as any importing really

Good luck with it

blank DVD's will not pose a Copyright infringement seizure issue,,,,but,,,they can pose an Importing licensing/VAT issue,,,after all it might be a little hard to convince customs that you are receiving 10,000 blank DVD "Samples",,Just keep that in mind,,

If you are going hard at it, might need to register a business.
