I know for a fact that either Chrome browsers leak or something in Windows 7 leaks. I only use Chrome and Firefox nowadays.

I made two gmail emails in one user acct. Then I went to another (brand new) user acct with nothing (supposedly) on it. I opened up Chrome and the cookies remembered those email addresses from the other user acct. Found this the other day but suspected this for a long time.

Once I opened up Opera browser and it took over every user acct I had. Then I didn't like that so I deleted it from my PC. Maybe the ease in being able to enter everything in Windows 7 is a weakness. I don't know.

Hercules 10-26-2012 08:26 AM

All my user accts used to be logged on so I learned hear that that was using up hard drive space so I remember to log off. Maybe that was a way to 'leak' data I don't know.

Hercules 10-26-2012 08:44 AM

Sorry about the multiple threads but things start to come back to me. Once in a while I get suspended for something and I get that message 'We see that you are linked to the Ebay acct safesales2011 and goodfinds666 so we are ......'These accts are not supposed to be linked in any way.

I think Ebay uses some deeper checking button or whatever but the fact that I get linked to other acct this way is too wrong.

Otherwise I hop around forever on many users without ever getting linked...Weird!

igotsuspended 10-26-2012 07:43 PM

This is how using multiple windows user accounts would not completely prevent eb accounts from being linked.
If they put something within any system folder, no matter how many accounts you have, they would link them all.

It is easy. Buy a remotely on/off power outlet.
I bought one for $12 for my modem.
I use remote to turn on/off for every mac address.
power cycle takes about a minute to get connect and new ip.

iam sorry but i have to ask, why would you need so many accounts?

maybe you should consider getting a merchant account / status if you need to sell alot.

anyway, just putting an idea out here.

get a MK802

http://www.amazon.com/MK802-Android-Google-Player-Allwinner/dp/B008BFXOZE
buy some sd cards. boot the mini pc via the sdīs, and do what is suggested in this thread (switch through browsers).
all you need to do now is switch through the sdīs (if it works, like i think it could).

wouldn't having multiple modem/routers do the same thing (create a new mac and unique IP?) or is the IP you get supplied by the ISP so it wouldn't make a difference?

You can have only one router for each modem.

I already been doing that for years. I use google chrome for the main account and my 2nd account firefox (both real) but if i try to sell the same category on one or the other at the same time. I get a warning from ebay etc.

I haven't got this warning in like 18+ months.

But You can have 4 different browsers. Google chrome, firefox, IE, & Safari. All running at the same time all logged in. Now I don't think this would be a good idea to do.

But what about IP addresses???

I mean if I get 1 VPS account. I could just have 3 browsers, and 1 IP address with 3 different accounts selling the same category?

I don't think this would work out to well either. But what do you do about IPs?

Roscoe 02-22-2013 03:13 PM

There are a 100 reasons.

One is to be Stealth-Stealth. :spy:

In some niches only PP is the accepted way to pay and you will lose an enormous amount of sales if you use anyone other than PP.

Another reason is that Merchant Accounts are just like PP also. I have merchant accounts but they have the same friggin rules as PP.

Reserves, Rolling reserves, credit checks, etc...

I could probably give 30 reasons with even thinking.

What about IP addresses? If you only get linked on IP alone and are careful enough is that not a problem?

Pretty old thread.

IP linking by itself as a one off may not be enough, but its so easy to avoid there is no reason to take the risk

How about a GNU/Linux distro?

They are far more efficient than windows and more secure.
Some of them are particularly designed to be resource-efficient.
elementary os is one that comes to mind.

Also, store what you can in the cloud.

Re: How To: Easily manage multiple stealths on 1 PC

I was thinking I could get a Hot Spot from ATT and use that connection to my laptop with all of the stealth accounts on it.
each time you connect you get a different IP...wouldn't that solve the IP issues?

Re: How To: Easily manage multiple stealths on 1 PC

IP addresses can still be repeated, even if unlikely, so still need to keep track of them.

does ebay monitor ip addresses when you log on or when you list an item ?

Assume it monitors IP addresses at all time, even when just browsing.

Don't care whenever they monitor IP address, I only make sure that I am using right account with right IP address and do not login when browsing.

Only if you still have login cookie exist. Otherwise, there is no way for them to see who you are.
I never login to browsing only machine. Each seller account has a dedicated VM. All IPs are monitored and tracked using a spreadsheet to make sure each VM has unique IP address.

I have read about browser fingerprinting. With that it's allegedly possible to identify you even without cookies. Does eBay or Amazon use that?

GreenBean 02-23-2014 08:35 AM

Re: How To: Easily manage multiple stealths on 1 PC

@Teasly

all ecommerce companies have that ability.

paypal/ebay/amazon can use techinques to ID sellers.

That is why we have guidelines to help users reduce being detected for stealth.

Quite fun really.

Re: How To: Easily manage multiple stealths on 1 PC

I use a virtual machine with VmWare Workstation. I only have the one stealth account at the moment. I intend to make more virtual machines and have one stealth account on each.

Its handy because the virtual machines can be setup with enough memory to run smoothly. And I can go to full screen and its like using a new computer. I can also suspend each machine so when loading up, it only takes a few seconds and I`m straight into the browser that I`m using on it.

I`m looking to setup another account soon, I will probably need help with it. However, I think I got the jist.

I'm a programmer and create bots. I currently create approx 500 ebay accounts per day with only a handful of proxies (I sell a particular niche service for ebay sellers).

For ebay .com/co.uk, I've experienced no issues logging hundreds of accounts per proxy - no instant bans, no tel prompts, etc.

Although these accounts are very risky, and I wouldn't bother creating selling accounts on 'em, I have some success in keeping the risky account alive for long periods.

Take what you may from this...

Ive got a small sized HDD on my Desktop which is solely used for stealth accounts. It has maybe 15 stealths on it, all with their own separate Windows usernames, but the memory on the PC is being eaten away.

So my problem is that if i want to make more stealths, which I'm planning to do now, then the PC will become saturated and i could risk frying the machine.
I don't really want to have to spend money on another PC, but will if i have to so is there another way to make stealths without using up all the PC's memory?

Also I wondered if i made a stealth on 1 windows user ID, then saved all the info on a .txt file, then remove the windows ID, and do this each time for about 30+ accounts. I could then create a new windows user ID for the stealth when i wanted to use it to sell i.e. making sleeper accounts.

Whats your thoughts/suggestions?...

I do used each FireFox Portable per account. Don't need to make user account. Save a lot of HDD space

There's a few reasons they're unstable; 1) I burn up the accounts by engaging in a form of 'eBay SEO'; 2) The details used during signing up are bogus (which could pose a problem if eBay decide to look into the account later on).

Re point 2; there is a way around this (which works for me). Which also works for some of the members here, (I suspect).

You can just buy some cheap VPSs. Probably the safest method for managing multiple accounts.

Why not backup you picture files to a cloud account?
Or buy a 1Tb USB drive.. not expensive.. will hold 1000s of accts easy.
BTW do you supply Amazon accts..? cuz I need one for usa.

Look fwd to ur reply.

Re: How To: Easily manage multiple stealths on 1 PC

it makes sense to use PortableApps on a thumbn drive per account instead of having to create multiple user accounts. I currently have 5 accounts set up. I think thats more than enough for redundancy purposes.

I have heard that you can still mix up cookies with Portable Apps or what not on athumb drive but I'm not sure.

[Obviously you would have to change your IP and log them too]
