increasing limits

Is it a good idea to just sell lots of really cheap items to have limits increased?

GreenBean 09-11-2012 08:31 AM

That is but part of the entire scenario.

One should be selling to the limits of one's limits. Are you doing that?

Can you be sure of your really cheap items selling in any case?

What are your current limits age of account, amount of feedback etc.

Did you have breakfast today?

Critical question now:

How come if you have been here on this forum for ages you never knew I am a gal
:juggle:

You ask alot of questions which are already on this forum use the search box

Selling lots of cheap items might get your "items" per month increased but not necessarily the "£" per month limit increased.

List item to the limit even if they dont sell. Make sure they are 30 days through the review stage and your limits will increase pretty quick.

one more question, Big guys:

Do you think that buyer feedback also helps to increase selling limit?

Cheers

You're a girl!? :suspicious:

On topic, if you want to take the risk and depending on the items you plan to sell, just call them up and ask for a limit raise.

Obviously this won't work if the stealth is a girls name and you're a guy or if the DOB is like 1955 and you sound like a 20 year old. So be smart about it and have all info ready in hand in case they ask.

This also will not work if you plan on selling high VeRO imo like DVDs or brand name sunglasses. If you plan on selling generic non-branded stuffs you can call them up an say like you've been in the ":blank: whatever it is you sell" wholesale business for years and need a higher volume. They will review your account for a month or two and see if you have positive feedback at least 10+ of the particular items you plan to sell and they might raise it.

My bro-in-law's wholesale jewelry business eB acc went from 10/$1000 to 25/$1000 in one month, then after another month of selling and calling in again with 10+ feedback it went to 250/$5000. Of course this was all in his real name and stuff, but I'm sure it would work on a stealth account as well with the right plays.

Members will disagree with calling in eB for limit raises, too risky, I for one have never had a problem with doing it, although I've only done it a handful of times and I was very prepared. Try at your own risk.

I was recently told that if you get the eBay account phone verified + link it to a verified PayPal account with a credit card & bank account attached, then your limits will increase to 100/$5,000 monthly. (***And add SSN if you're in USA)
