| webprojectuk | 09-11-2012 05:55 PM | LTD Company Hi,
I am looking to set up a real LTD company and would like to know if anyone has done this without too many problems? I need the account to be solid, as this will be a real business..
Any help would be appreciated. |
I'd recommend you research this via the search function on the board. |
| webprojectuk | 09-11-2012 06:44 PM | Hi,
Thanks for the advice. I have already done this few times but using search for 'LTD' does not work. Using Limited company brings more info about paypal limited. |
With regards to you running a 'solid' EB/PP A/C.....that boils down to how you run & manage this EB/PP A/C....that is the only way it is going to be 'solid' over time.
You need to build the EB/PP A/C slowly over a period of time, set it up correctly the first time around & refrain from listing VeRO items or high risk items or too many at once etc etc.
Having an LTD does not short cut these basic principles.
This might sound simple or basic but it is a starting base. |
| webprojectuk | 09-11-2012 07:05 PM | Hi,
Once again thank you for your reply. I understand the mail order business very well. The first and only ebay account which was suspended was a business account and this was due to the snow and royal mail back logs in 2010. The business was sending out over 300 packages per day towards Xmas. Sadly, royal mail didn't tell us that our local delivery office had a massive backlog and over 5000 packages sent from our company arrived 2nd and 3rd week in Jan 2011. Resulting in a number of ebay cases, negatives, and a loss of £20,000 to the company. Why? Because ebay issued refunds to customers, but the packages arrived late. Prior to this - we were top rated seller with protection! |
How old was this previous EB/PP A/C ??? What were the selling/volume limits per month on it ???
Do you have a separate selling channel aside from EB ??? |
| webprojectuk | 09-11-2012 07:12 PM | Both open in 2000 - ebay never had limits (well before it was taken down due to being bellow standard). PayPal still going strong verified, and documents sent over 10 times as and when Paypal needed them. Limits normally lifted within few hours of the documents going through.
We use Amazon that is doing well no problems, and a number of our own websites. |
I would say that EB A/C is 'dead' for any further functional seller purpose....you don't say but I am guessing you mean to say your EB A/C has been indefinitely suspended from selling or to that effect ??? That associated PP A/C can be used for NON-EB transactions.
It is sensible that you have other income streams & not put everything in one basket.
The Ltd route can be worked to your advantage as I've explained in my PM to you.
EDITS: I take it you know how to successfully setup & operate stealth EB/PP A/C ??? |
| webprojectuk | 09-12-2012 03:42 AM | Thank you for the reply. Yes, I know how not link the accounts. The first account is gone, we have tried to appeal 3 days ago via live chat, phone and email but get the same old reply - sorry, you are a really bad seller, with 99.9% positive feedback, but because you lost £20,000 and all of our customers got their products late due to royal mail mess up we no longer want to do business with you. Yes, we have been aware of this problem, and unlike Amazon we didn't put up any message to our customers to warn them about this issue. We would rather take the money, earn our commission and when customers complain we will issue them a refund - and customers get a free Xmas gift at your own expense. That is why our Ebay customers love using our item not received cases.
Fact: Amazon actually listen to sellers, and help you when they can. Ebay customer support is just crap!
Now back to the LTD question.
How to you verify the account with the LTD company? |
| GrannyT | 09-12-2012 04:11 AM | Perfectly doable. Most of my accounts are limited companies but I suggest you get subscribed. A lot of info cannot get put on open forum for obvious reasons and is in the subscribers section.
If you are going to go this route, and you obviously are, you need to have all your little ducks in a row before going near Ebay.
In my opinion this is the easiest way to build long lasting accounts BUT it needs to be set up correctly from day one.
I cannot emphasise that enough - from day one

How to you verify the account with the LTD company? | In exactly the same way as you verify a non limited company account - you need to think laterally here |

How to you verify the account with the LTD company? | By supplying the requested paperwork of the parties involved with the company |
| webprojectuk | 09-14-2012 12:38 PM | Thank you for your replies. So, the person assigned to the paypal account and the ltd company has to be someone who has not been suspended before? |
| GrannyT | 09-14-2012 03:04 PM | Correct
:ranger: |
| infinitelyannoyed | 09-15-2012 07:24 AM | I am planning a similar route, does this mean this non suspended person has to be the owner of the company too? I am confused in this little bit, is the director a stealth? If so, then how does he/she open a bank account :S
Searched and searched but cannot find the answer to this:confused: |
| GreenBean | 09-15-2012 09:03 AM | Simply because the details of such arrangements, legally creating a LTD, must be done with due diligence & care by experts.:juggle:
Your bank account question could also be addressed there. |
| infinitelyannoyed | 09-15-2012 11:51 AM | :juggle:Answered where Greenbean? |
| GrannyT | 09-15-2012 12:05 PM | infinitelyannoyed - this is a wide open forum and your question is unlikely to get the answer you are looking for - you never know who's reading this do you? :spy: |

No-one here on the forum is privy to the potential set-up of any users who want to use ebay as an LTD.
Our base line of info is users have been previously suspended on ebay.
The steps to create companies have to be exact, precise & conform to UK law.
Further, such companies need to be able to withstand scrutiny from ebay/paypal.
The key to that success will be in their creation in the 1st place. Expert advice will cover that hurdle
:amen: |
The LTD process is just as simple in the UK as USA I am figuring? |
| infinitelyannoyed | 09-16-2012 11:12 AM | Thanks Greenbean :) |

'Simple' and complying with tax, VAT, liability at law might not marry well.:juggle: | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:04 AM. | |
