Default Tollfreeforwarding doesn't work with eBay UK

First of all, wanted to confirm to everyone that tollfreefowarding doesn't work to confirm an eBay UK account.

Problems have mentioned around the site but nothing conclusive.

Is there any alternative anyone has used within the past 6 months in the UK? A confirmed solution which is more recent and also allows tone typing.

Have you tried soho66.co.uk? You can also forward all your calls to your home or mobile number.

Signed up for soho66, however it's not forwarding to my landline when I set it up. Does it require an additional balance?

Or alternatively is it OK to go with a software based phone through soho66? I am thinking about possible having to do the tone dial when verifying. Eg press 2 to hear code

Yeah, you have to top up your call balance to at least £5 for forwarding to work. Using the phone software to take the call should work. Will you be using this number on PayPal also?

Yes. Hoping to use it with pay-pal when need be.

Do you know which software solution is best to take the call? And avoid paying the 5er? or should I pay it to avoid hassle?

Best to pay the £5 for forwarding to avoid any problems in the future, like if PayPal decide to call you for any enquiries on your account activities.

Quick summary for anyone who finds this thread in future searches:

Tollfreeforwarding does not work with eBay UK. Do NOT use this option.

A verified working option is Soho66. You can buy the basic single VOIP. Top up an extra £5. This is credit which will be used to forward your calls to a landline.

The benefit of forwarding calls is that it you can type a number using tone dialling when eBay phone you to verify.

As a side note: I justed verified that TollFreeForwarding.com and Google Voice DO NOT work for USA either. I tried using it and Paypal gave me the good ole message of "We couldn't verify this phone number. Please choose a different phone number or add a new number."

The funny thing is, I then tried my mobile phone # and it won't let me use that either! I really don't know what is going on. When I enter my cell phone number and it gets to the address verification section, it says that my address is incorrect (even though it is the address on my phone bill)

Any help with this situation?
