Question VPS: Switching between additional IPs?

I originally bought a VPS with additional IPs for $2 each. However, I couldn't get it to change IPs to any of my additional ones I bought :(

I'm normally good with "computers" but when it comes to this sort of stuff specifically, I'm not.

I've found somewhat fix (but just realized it's super expensive -.-) so if anyone could help me with changing between additional IPs on a VPS, I would appreciate it so much.

For some reason, several people [not on here though] were telling me that I can't??? And my provider of the VPS wasn't even helping me out with this either. Was told that I had to "configure the IPs myself".

You can, but I only did on some of my Linux VPS for VPN server. I assume youre on Windows, so this may helps: How to Add/Assign Multiple IP Address in Vista/XP/2000/2003 | Windows Reference However Im not sure you can change between IPs snugly this way..

Yes I'm using a Mac, however the VPS is on Windows. I connect to it through Remote Desktop Connection.

Do you think this would do the job? It says I can assign an IP per user session basically:

To help you further, I made netter's response in his post partly 'bold'.....ie, I assume you are using Windows.

Thus my response in case other users came along to contribute.

OP & I exchanged messages as he was struggling to get his system working.

Said struggle is still going on.

Got anything helpful to aid him? He is struggling

I've bought the smallest possible VPS with linux and 128 mb ram ($12/year lol) and installed a vpn server. Then I created a new windows virtual machine on my mac using parallels, and configured to use the vpn server. The result is exactly the same as using an RDP but its cheaper. Just my tip for you.

So basically, I found out from my the VPS provider that this thing would be called "IP Virtualization" and lets you assign an IP "per user session." I'm not sure if they'd completely set it up for me or not though, as it seems quite difficult & complicated (I'm not too good when it comes to this area of computers and I don't think I could do it). And I don't know why but I feel like it might not be reliable or secure :S ..By the way, this would require just one VPS - $50/month for one with more RAM since I'd have all my accounts on there.

- OR - I could just buy a bunch of their "cheapest" Windows VPS's which are $19.99/month. And use a VPS per eBay/PP account. Only thing is, I plan on having 7-10 stealth accounts running at once. So that could be $200/month :| However, they DID say I could get a deal with them if I was using multiple services of theirs..So maybe I could talk them down to around $120-140/month :P
