Quick reminder for stealth accounts
I made the mistake of not writing down all my information for a particular stealth that I made in a hurry. The majority of you already know this, but for those who want to avoid the same mistake I did and know a simple trick that may get around it.
I was using my iPhone tether and the damn thing kept disconnecting for some reason, so I kept signing in with new IP addresses within a short amount of time. Anyways, when I signed in again for the 3rd time and went to finish my listing. I was prompted with a message to confirm my identity by either calling in or answering one of my secret questions. Totally forgot what my secret answer was an didn't write it down for this account. I thought the secret answer was for password reminders only :doh:. Every time I signed out, signed back in and refreshed the page the confirm your identity screen kept coming until everything became grayed out and the only option was to call in.
So, I call in and think I'm pretty much set in regards to all the info I needed. The eB rep asked me for my name, DOB, address, and phone number. I had written everything down except for the DOB. I'm thinking I'm ****ed, how would I get around not knowing my DOB lol (more importantly how did I forget to write it down?)? Also, there is no way to find out the DOB in eB or PP personal info, well unless I missed it.
Check this out though, I started stating the info she asked for starting with my name, address, phone number and just when I was about to tell her my DOB "And my date of birth is...", I ended the phone call. Trying to make her think that maybe the phone call just disconnected. And it worked! I signed off and signed in a couple min later and the confirm your identity screen disappeared whew...dodged a bullet there. You bet your ass she got a 5 start customer service review too. WRITE DOWN ALL YOUR INFO GUYS EVERYTHING! |
