| | | natashaiera | 09-24-2012 12:01 PM | Call forwarding service that actually works?! I have tried countless call forwarding services and none of them seem to work anymore!!! Does anyone know one that still works?!! |
| club1010 | 09-24-2012 12:59 PM | If you are in the US Google voice still works.
Wait patiently for more advice and information from more experienced members of the forum and read around the topics on this forum for more information.
I am sure somebody would have post something related to this question you are asking somewhere in this forum. |
| makaveliagain | 09-26-2012 03:27 AM | Google voice is ok, personally I would suggest getting a TracFone for the first few month of a new stealth selling account. Then switching over to google voice after you have some selling feedback and standing with eBay & paypal. |
| hercheys | 09-26-2012 11:27 PM | try evoice it works for me. |
Only issue with ev is the rehash of numbers sometimes- be careful |
| Pandarian | 09-29-2012 12:06 PM | Google Voice didn't worked for me. Getting a error saying number not found in database |

Tested great with Amazon, eBay but not very good wirh GCO. You can also try Callture.com in the USA, Or international. Ringcentral is good as well, just a thought. |
| goofball | 10-05-2012 02:21 AM | Google has worked for me, though there have been times it is a bit delayed, I'm with maka though too. Track Phones are cheap. ($10.00). Gets you rolling and then you can take it from there. |
Removed after seeing tff issue |
| GreenBean | 10-05-2012 02:53 AM | Are you using a cell phone or landline to receive incoming calls
:juggle: |
| assetmgmt | 10-15-2012 05:33 PM | Just so you know cell phones do not work for ebay account verifications as suggested above--the system knows when it's a cell phone. |

I use cell numbers without issues |
| assetmgmt | 10-16-2012 12:36 PM | Cell Phones First I don't appreciate being attacked I did my homework and had two tracphone numbers, I tried to use to verifiy two different accounts and they didn't work when I was asked to have a call made to me to verify my account. There was a standard computer generated statement which said-This account can not be verified with a cell phone number, please supply a different phone number.
This may not be true when you use other cell phone companies--but it was for me with tracphone and net 10, so I did do my homework .
The problem with blogs, is that everyone is a expert, and often the information is not accurate, or true for everyone.
So no need to be nasty or accuse people of not knowing what they are talking about. |

So no need to be nasty or accuse people of not knowing what they are talking about. | Then why didn't you say TRACPHONE instead of CELLPHONE in the first place? People think of actual cellphone numbers from large and reputable companies when you mention cellphone, not ones from cheap prepaid companies. They're not the same thing, eBay KNOWS that people abuses these cheap prepaid phones for verification. Cellphones from major carriers works fine and people including myself has been using them since god knows when.
How about YOU actually do some UNBIASED homework and get your smartass off of your high horse yourself instead of telling others to do so and throwing insults around? |
| goofball | 10-16-2012 01:33 PM | For call forwarding I have succesfully used google 1 week ago. I had it forwarded to my cricket phone.
As to the quote below: I have used nothing but cell phones for my verifications (including a TRAC phone).
In our day and age most people I know no longer have, nor ever will have landlines. Do you really think ebay would limit itself in such a way? Quote:

Tracfone and Google Voice both work, the problem might be the recycled numbers. I am sure at some point those who use both services will eventually come across another previously used phone number that another Stealther might have used in the past. Quote:

| That's a very bold statement and should really say: "Did not work for me". |

Keep talking like that and it will not happen either.
I am not sure what has happened to you for these phones to not work.
Did you contact the companies involved?
Did you have credit on the phones ( should that be needed).
Where did the concept of blog come from? This is a forum where users post words on topics. No-one blogs here.
Instead of your less than genteel reply, why not tell us exactly what disasters happened in the course of your endeavors to use them? There may be a simple reply not yet obvious to you.
I can assure you that tracphones used correctly work. 99% of systems mentioned on these boards WORK. It is user error that is the problem

| yotano211 | 10-19-2012 01:15 AM | Cell phones work for me 100%, I use Virgin Mobile most of the time. |
