| | Listing very first items on Stealth account? I've got 2 Stealth accounts at the moment. 0 feedback on both.
I've also got around 90 non-branded bracelets (different colors) that I bought so I could re-sell cheap ($4-6) for some feedback.
I'd like to sell around 20 for feedback on each account, before I start listing my "bigger" branded items. Just wondering how I should go about listing them on my Stealth account?
I was wondering if it would be alright for my very 1st listing to be a Buy It Now with more than 10 available + 3 different colors. Or is that too much at once?
BTW my account is phone verified, fully verified PayPal attached, and has $5k monthly selling limits. Account was created approx. 1 month ago. |
& I run the risk of getting limited with my 1st listing, don't I? :pout: |
| BigCJ | 09-26-2012 12:53 PM | you always run the risk of getting a MC of doom.
If over 30 days, you should be fine to list ONE item. 3+ will almost certainly cause an MC of doom
Not sure of you guys have this on canadian accounts, but, What I do on my US accounts: on the very first page when you go to ebay, there is a blank area showing what you looked at previously. Fill that list up with random cr@p searches, Place false bids that you know you will lose, and then list the one item, let it sell, gain your feedback, then you can move on to 2-4 more $4-$5 dollar items.
Good luck |

And yes I already searched some random things and placed some losing bids (hopefully lol) and watched a couple of items. |

Yes, It brings up the level of risk unnecessarily.
One item, with ebay's default settings for starters.
Once that item ends (after the 7 days) then you can list the same item in more quantity. |

| BigCJ | 09-26-2012 02:25 PM | That should be OK.
What you could do is set the item for 7 days, once it gets a bid or at the monetary level you are happy with, sell it to the highest bidder. (you could even give a second chance offer for the others bidders if you are willing to take the loss for feedback)
Good luck. |

Good luck. | That's actually a good idea, thanks! I suppose that won't raise flags like posting multiple listings would - or raising the quantity, eh?
I'll probably start the bids at $4.99 (my would-be super cheap price if it was Buy It Now) and hope it goes up to something like $10 which is what I could be selling them for. |
Hope the best for you on your business model |

Keep us posted on how it's going! :) | Finally received 100 shipping envelopes today...So tomorrow I will be listing my items for the very 1st time on the 2 Stealth accounts. :) Considering how cheap the price will be, I think they'll sell fast which is perfect since I should receive feedback pretty quick :P ALSO, does anyone know if I can start the bidding at $3.99 and say in the ad that I'll second chance offer ANYONE who bids? That way I can hit 2,3,4 maybe 5 birds with 1 stone :P So am I allowed to say that I'll second chance offer the bidders in my listing? |

That counts at feedback manipulation and the bots will pick up on that phrase and flag the accounts.
While I understand that is what you want, ebay will shut it down pretty fast with those words. |

You will be stoned by the bots & all the birds killed, including your new account.:canada: |

| stealthbmw | 10-02-2012 10:29 AM | I've done it before without problems, but as others mentioned above don't mention anything in the ad. Just be quick to second chance offer it right after the listing ends so buyers don't lose interest lol |
Ok, finally listed them. Very first time listing on a Stealth account! I'm so paranoid and I keep doing everything extremely slow lol. It's kinda stressful but I'm hoping I'll get comfortable real soon.
Anyway, I listed a bracelet on each account. They're different colors, pictures are different (background), starting price is slightly different, shipping prices are slightly different, one title is in all caps, other is all punctuated, etc.. I think I did everything right. Now just gotta wait 3 days and hope they get as many small increment bids as possible so I can second chance offer everyone for an appealing price. (And no I didn't mention the Second Chance Offer part in the ad btw!) |
| t1tm1t | 10-04-2012 12:32 AM | about second chance offer:
I reach my selling limit last month at 11st, Aug, I think, then I sent out 10 second chance offers after ship out all items, ebay remove my second chance offers quickly with an email said that 10/500$ is limitation for new account, I have to follow that.
I start selling again this month, and I think I will reach selling limit on my all accounts by 15th this month :(
I need more accounts :D |

My limits are 100 items / $5,000 so I won't reach the limit. I should be OK if I send out Second Chance offers. I'm only going to be selling 20 of these small bracelets just to gain feedback anyway. |
Good luck on this mcmx - keep aware of your second chance buyers too |
| northpeak | 10-04-2012 10:56 AM | Is it okay to sell garage sale style items first to build your feedback and then start selling name brand items, or does eb look at that as a red flag also? When do you know it is okay to trickle in the items you actually intend to sell? |

I responded to your PM btw. |

While I understand that is what you want, ebay will shut it down pretty fast with those words. | What if I wrote the text in a photo - that way the bot won't pick up on what I said? For example, I'd write in the photo: "All bids win. Bid once and you'll either win the auction or receive a Second Chance Offer to buy at the end."
