Sleeper account Question!

Basically I am planning to open new Stealth ebay & paypal sleeper account. Main reason is to avoid the 21 day hold after 3 months.

Do I need to make a sale first in order to hit the 21 day hold if so, is it necessary to add a bank account in order to withdraw or to sell?

Can't I just sell without adding a bank account as I dont need to withdraw?

You just need to make a sale and wait 90 days after that. That is all, but be aware that PayPal can put the hold back on the account after that if they want.

Ok, Do I need to add bank account if I dont want to withdraw? Can I let the money stay there without adding a bank acc?

If you don't need a bank account to sell then no you don't need to add one, it would have no part in it... the money/PayPal account has nothing to do with the eBay account being relieved of the 21 day hold after the 90 days (the 21 day hold is all on the eBay side for the first 90 days) so do whatever you wish with any money that may result from the sale.

I want to remove the selling limits if it may hit the new ebay account and also the 21 day hold on paypal, I am asking if I need to make a sale for the 21 day hold and selling limits to go after 90 days?

And I already answered your question in the first post regarding the 90 day hold; you must make a sale and then wait 90 days from then for the holds to go. As for selling limits, you will need to do more than just wait 90 days. You will always have a selling limit and the only way to increase them is to consistently sell up to your limit every month. Selling one item and waiting 90 days won't help you in that respect.

Just be aware that selling even one item with an unverified UK paypal account is very risky. There's a very good chance the listing will be removed and you'll get hit with a doc request from Ebay.

I have only ever been taken down because of account linkage, when selling on unverified PayPal. If that isn't the case (which it never is any more for me), my listings always go through fine.

That`s why there is no guarantee on the 21 day hold being removed completely but a worth move on the sleeper accounts

But the point is that they will be removed completely, even if only temporarily. I will put it this way... what is guaranteed that eBay will stop instructing PayPal to hold payments after 90 days from the first sale, and the eBay account will become ""unlocked" from then onwards. But what isn't guaranteed is that PayPal will agree with eBay's decision, and in their disagreement with eBay, they can decide to put a PayPal account-wide (i.e., ALL payments will be held... regardless of their source) hold on within hours of being given the "OK" by eBay.

In fact, you could be worse off than before the 90 days... as before then it only probably only applied to eBay sales, and as all PayPal saw was "this account has holds on..., move on", and they would have left you alone. But after 90 days, when PayPal automatically reviews your account, if they decide to put a hold on, it will be for everything; not just for eBay sales as before So this plan could potentially backfire as well, if outside-eBay sales are an important source of income for you also.

No doubt GB - if the system is understood...
