Funny story about Trust & Safety

So I'm familiar with how eBay's Trust and Safety are more or less robotic scripts that don't review listings at all when they remove them.

And one account got a bunch of violations so being careful, I relist one of the removed auctions as a test auction with the general title and description indicating it's a test auction, and putting it in the test auction category.

Two days go by and then it being the only listing on my account, I get a violation email similar to the ones I got before, but the listing #s and titles removed is blank. It goes to show how stupid eBay is -- they were going to remove my listing without even looking at the title but the test auction category did some computer interrupt and prevented it.

I still got a violation on my account. And they're unremovable because the phone department says they can do nothing and eBay has not read any emails it's received for three years.

stupid ebay bots. I have been telling people here about MC019 for a while. It's all automated. But the fact that it is automated it gives certain people the edge over others :)

I always feel - 'It's ME against eBay' :)>

Why would you say that?
If it were not for tests like these, we would not be able to get where we are with stealth accounts today.

I'm sure Jonas has plenty of backup accounts, which is why he can risk and afford to do such tests.

It may seem dumb to you, but now, we have a new notch in our belt to fight against ebay.

It just seems dumb and pointless. You are already listing a product that brings attention to your account, so by relisting it you already know what the outcome will be.

No you're the dumb one. Read the following sentence, he removed the description and title and changed them to something generic as a test listing to test the water.

yes we all do experients and somehow hit lucky sometimes...

so if they do not read them then maybe there is a way of amending later on...

we know it is automated, it is kinda obvious if brand is in title, it is not some big secret

In my experience, eBay puts bad marks on accounts, so if they start listing again, eBay will stalk them. And if eBay is looking for a violation and a trust and safety rep thinks the seller is okay, they will flag the seller for them to be immune from violations.

As for a test auction, what do you think they're for? Testing.
