Found an old Ebay Stealth Account But...
 

I was going through some of my ebay stealth accounts and i found one from nearly 2 years ago. It is a seller account with paypal with a few feedbacks. All the information i had was the ebay id, paypal email and passwords.

I managed to find the name, address, phone number easily.
I changed the secret Questions

I had $10 owing for some time. I paid that off.

I went to list an item and they want verification by phone. Well i dont have that number attached anymore and it wont let me to change the number.

It says to call ebay if you are unable to. My only problem is when i call they will ask for my Date of Birth. Is there anyway i can find out what i put down as DOB cause i have no idea. When i call ebay i am very sure they will ask and i wont know..

Any way around this?

Just look for it in PayPal go to profile>business info>DOB

This is not a business account. Its a personal account. Any where else it could be?

Not sure. But if you cant find it at all, you might be able to play it off.

If you call and they ask, just be confident in your DOB. If its not one that matches the account, just tell them you probably made one up to rush the registration. I know it sounds bad but people rush those little things when registering for any website. Being that the account is a couple years old and still in good standing, I think they might understand. Not much else you can do if you cant find it otherwise.

I am still hoping there is a way around it. I will wait a couple more days before i call them incase anyone else has any idea

are you saying you dont have the option to update your telephone number ?

or are you saying it doesnt give you the option to change it WHEN YOU TRY TO LIST ?

my ebay > account > addresses >change registration address > Add new number and verify

wait a bit then try to list and it will ask you to verify with the new number unless AUS is different to UK

in the UK we get a passcode to type in when we call them and it verifies your account info

all they have ever asked me is my first and last name

does this not apply to AUS ?

Hi, it is the same here but because it is saying that i need to verify identity i am unable to make changes. Only way is to get the call from that number or i call ebay myself and i am worried as i dont know the DOB.

I have recently changed the secret question and i am guessing that is why i am unable to change the number like normally you are able to.

I guess i will call them on Saturday if i find no other way.

Ok just like to update you guys..

I waited for about a week. listed a item and it worked :)

When I got hit with an ID verification for a legit account, I had no idea what my DOB was. It was under my real name, address, phone # and everything else, HOWEVER I know for a fact that I never used my real birthday for it. Just a random one. (Of course I didn't know at the time, 3 years ago, how important it could be) So when I had to fax them my ID and documents, I noted to them that "I can't remember the DOB I signed up with since I picked a random one for privacy reasons. It's common for people to do this for online websites. This is why the DOB on my ID might be different from what I registered with". They didn't seem to care or say anything about it since they restored my limits after being suspended (which was why I was promoted for the ID verification in the first place)
