adding a 2nd bank account to pp

posting here please move if required

looking to add a 2nd bank account to my stealth pp acc

is there time to do this ? any special tips

in short 1st account added was a relatives account all brand new legit detailed account, did it this way as i used it to pay off a personal debt owed which has now worked out just fine and dandy and all paid up... they have offered me the use of the account further but i want to manage my own account with my own access, always handy having the relatives account but id like to add my own for my own savings and running and so on

now i know in the event if the pp account went down i lose both bank accounts but hey thats pp right

so imasking is this ok to do, is it a ggod time to add... eb and pp accs are 3 months old no probs at all

looked around the search functions but you now how it is...

No special tips - you can add a new one. Don`t try to reuse old bank account though.

Sign in to paypal.

Go to PROFILE

Go to ADD EDIT Bank account. Add the info. Decide if you want to confirm the new account or not. I confirm 99% of bank accounts

Should you have transactions happening, leave the existing account as Primary ( for the moment).
When you do a transfer make sure to watch which account your funds are going to hit., & away you go.
Crucial to remember to WATCH selected bank account

I dont really know if there is a special time but I wouldn't think there would be one.

I do have 1 paypal account, no ebay attach, with 3 bank accounts attach to it. The paypal account is 4 months old. The 2nd bank account attached to that is from my sister. I was also like you, I owed her money and it was the best way to pay her back, it was lots of money. The other 2 are my and still good.

True that sista....

Dont let this happen to you.

I made the mistake of selecting the wrong bank account to transfer money too. I needed to select the bank account that pays my student loan payments, its automatic. I finally found out 2 weeks later when they sent me a nice letter that I was late on the payment with a late charge on it. They are so nice to me....

ok cheers guys

but its cool to use both accounts yes ?

i find it handy to spread the funds around as relative has offered me use of the 1st account to continue i just want my very own 1 added too

as i will be in control of both accounts it wont be a case of missing money in action or anything

but just to confirm it is ok to send funds to both accounts yes ?

lets say for example sake £500 in pp can i send £250 to each account :brushteeth:

its best to double check i think

I often use separate bank accounts to verify and to withdraw and have never had a problem with it. I sometimes don't confirm the withdrawal bank account and it still allows withdrawals with the same review times.

I've also withdrawn to the wrong account (in a rush/not thinking/distracted). As long as it's before it changes from 'pending' to 'completed', you can call up PP and they can cancel the withdrawal. Never had any tricky questions, it cancels the withdrawal straight away and you can withdraw again to right account. Was a bit nerve-wracking as its always been on stealth accounts but it was fine, just had my account info in front of me to fire the answers back if needed. I usually never advocate calling EB or PP but I needed the withdrawal to be right.

If you add a second bank account then immediately request a withdrawal to it, you might get a 'we'd like to phone you' or a 'answer your security questions' page, but as long as your phone info is up to date and you know your answers, it's fine.

Turboman, I probably wouldn't do that simultaneously but I do try and avoid things that would look out of the ordinary. I would withdraw one, wait for it to complete then withdraw the other.

Obviously I don't know your exact set of circumstances but I would withdraw it all to my account then transfer it to my family member's account myself, once it's safe (I never consider it to be profit or even 'my money' until its in my bank account).

Cool to use both accounts.

That's why you added another one.

Would you do it together?

Rarely. That said, after a few weeks, you might do so. I never do half half of funds. I leave a balance always.:)

Dont forget you have to be comfortable with what you do :juggle:

Unless you have paypal on speed dial, you do not want to be trying to call them to stop a transfer. :boink:

I'm not suggesting sellers call PP as a matter of course, but the options there if a mistake happens.

ok cheers all
