New "Report Buyer" functions

Love it. Love it. Love it.

It's like it's all over the website, and has some new options as well when reporting.

Maybe they are finally getting more pro-active about buyers. Looks like a good start to me so far.

Edit: "Malicious feedback left by a suspected competitor" For those who have these kind of problems xD
And "Demanded a partial refund or discount". This the one I like xD

That is great news! Unfortunately, I had the opportunity to use it but it worked. They sided with me and the buyer's feedback had no effect on my ratings.

i just saw it today when leaving feedback for some buyers. it stuck out like a sore thumb. i must say yesterday or the day before i did predict this :)

slim jim 10-16-2012 04:49 PM

where you leave feedback for the buyer, next to positive is 'report this buyer' !

nobody999 10-16-2012 05:19 PM

great new for sellers! but scamming buyers may go "stealth" now.

I don't think they can go to stealth with real street address :). Block buyer with fbs lower than 5. then everything will be good

Don`t abuse it :)

Get real.

Buyers are damaging us.

So we just put up with it, according to you?

Please.

If I have gone to the trouble of trying to appease some sh&t buyer & they damage my account, they can have the pleasure of what I want to say with this system.

Dont abuse should have been stopped in its tracks by ebay years back. BAH

I have been a longtime advocate of the ability to leave neg feedback for buyers - simple solution which eb is not getting....instead choosing to put money into coming up with a kindergarten logo that does not have motivation

Yet we were not given that response by you.

Merely your usual off the point reply.

Very hard to discuss on your comments. The logo is not pertinent to this.

What one might expect from a user with your post count is some consideration of this change for sellers....

Note I said expect and NOT assume

Goes to show you how much Ebay is Hurting and FEELING the Pressure Now from Competitors like Amazon,,,

Ebay has Been "Inching" More and More in the Last Year or so towards Easing Up on Sellers,

If you Notice CLOSELY there is a LOT going on at Ebay,,,

I think though that it might be too Little, too Late,,,

Sellers who have left Ebay are Unlikely to come back,,,Just my 2 cents

GreenBean 10-18-2012 01:41 AM

Be good to go back to the good old days with ebay....

Often they were fun

Sighs.

:pout:

Definitely abuse as much as you can. This will create a safer environment for sellers ( if the reports are properly processed and evaluated when it comes down to it ).

Once they get pro-active about, this will show and the word will spread around the web. Many will think twice before trying anything funny.

Take for a example a major e-tailer and a chargeback from buyer. What happens is, their account gets automatically suspended as soon as he opens the dispute. There's no coming back from that point, no appeals, no second chances. Your address, credit card, and possibly name is permanently black listed from their store.

^ Exactly.

Ebay is inching while Amazon, inversely, has been getting stricter i.e. mass account deletion + keeping the money.
