RIP Demonoid, whats next?
 

It took my months to get a subscription to Demonoid. About a two weeks into having one, it got shut down. Any better alternatives?

Did it really get shut down.. or is it just another problem?

It was killed off officially. I was a member for years and barely used it. Had accumulated quite a few invites and then, BAM, they were shut down :shhh:

I usually just type what I want into Google..ex: "batman dark knight" and add "torrent" at the end. Usually various torrent websites will show up. Just check the seeders & comments to see if it's legit and not a virus. Or if there's any flaws to it

depends what and how much you are downloading really.

if its the odd few episodes here and there then using your home internet probably wont make a blind bit of difference in terms of increasing the probability of you getting nabbed.

But if you are a hardcore downloader then disguising yourself would be a good idea.

Personally, I dont really care.

I use torrentz.com, it's a great torrent indexing site from major torrent sites.

piratebay is alternative.

P.S.: Here in Bulgaria we have 2 torrent sites with very large database and high speed (i'm downloading with 10-11 mb/sec.) but i don't now if they work from outside of Bulgaria.Try to type in google - zamunda or arenabg.

only thing i dont like about that site is that you cant sort the search by number of seeders like you can with kat.ph

Yeah they're the same site. You can sort by numbers of seeders, just press "peers" next to Order By on the right side of the screen after entering search keywords. The site will automatically sort the results by numbers of seeders

I personally recommend IPTorrents which is a private tracker. And could help you with an invite on the 25th when we get them.

I would really really APPRECIATE getting one. :)

Paying for Usenet is lame, there are plenty of free and invite-only newsgroups that are good.

Its one of the best free sign-up sites I've come across.

PM me your email address and ill give you an invite for iptorrents when i get them. I can grab a movie in under 12 minutes 99% of the time. Just make sure you seed whatever your download to keep the community spirits high.

news groups are not going anywhere. I am not worried.

Mannnn these celebrities are greedy........ like they don't make enough for acting.... Its really not that hard. Just think what you are getting paid. You will do it like a champ.

FYI newsgroups also runs on servers, and any servers can be taken down via raids. Newsgroup being shut down by law enforcements is nothing unheard of, except that they don't care about it as much because not that many people uses it anymore.
