Getting every order seized. Using new addressed

Is anyone else getting every order seized? I've been ordering some non-major off brand items and I use a different address each time. For the past month it would pass through customs and get checked again once it enters my city which is there will it get seized. Everything I order gets seized and I lose a address.

Also my last order got seized which was two off brand items and I received an empty bubblewrapped foam type package with a letter inside.

This is all weird to me. Is anyone else experiencing anything like it?

sergfro 10-22-2012 10:43 AM

Cant really help you out unless you tell us what it is.
your "off brand" might be under the radar for Customs

Viciousfan1 10-22-2012 11:44 AM

The two non brand was the beats headphones while the other ones were iPhone 5 chargers.

Killuminati 10-22-2012 11:59 AM

The above are very high risk

Which shipping company are you using?

MM78 10-22-2012 12:05 PM

1st, Beats is a brand and a very high risk item. The address you used on your first shipment that was confiscated, did you use the same address on the rest of your packages?

LoopHole 10-22-2012 01:58 PM

How are beats headphones non branded???? And dude... if you are getting all your stuff seized even with changing the addresses all the time it must be something with your supplier and not you.

They're probably "designer" headphones that looks like Beats but got no logo.

Ebayorbust 10-22-2012 03:24 PM

Yes, it's the new Chinese brand - Dr Beast

Viciousfan1 10-22-2012 03:53 PM

Lol the beats I know is high risk that's why I only got two but the other iPhone chargers aren't high risk because there not shipped in apple packaging. My supplier said he used ⊗⊗⊗⊗ packaging and still got seized. This is would be the third time he resend. I ordered from another person to and that package also got seized as soon as it came to my city.

i think customs is very tight now, they are doing what they can to stop traffic from china to US because ultimately it's killing the US economy. i am not saying i agree, just my angle

No that speculation is absolutely absurd. It sounds like the customs are only being tight about "vero" imports which is understandable

I dont think selling non authentic items is killing us economy. Look at the designer bags. If you buy real some french guy abroad gets a huge profit. They are made overseas anyway. The only thing that stays in US is the small profit for the store.

On the other hand if US ebay seller gets a copy from China he will get his profit and buyer will save more money.
Then they both will spent that money locally by buying more food, eating at a restaurant or going to the movies.

It will actually boost the local economy. It makes me think the only people losing would be the ultra rich and poor people would gain from all the non authentic item trade.

What do you think ?

Your logic overall is very wrong because authentic items are usually sourced from local distribution channels which both the seller and and distributor gets commissions. Therefore, you ARE supporting your country's economy by buying authentic items as well as the country that originally designed the item from.

And this is the complete opposite of how it works. Instead of contributing to your country's economy, you're actually robbing money from the economy instead in a lot of ways. You just ripped off of a citizen of the same country you live in which he or she worked very hard for. At the same time, neither the distributor or the rights owner received any commission funds from this transaction. As more and more people starts to get ripped off by counterfeits, the companies that distributes and designs and manufactures these products gets lesser and lesser customers and revenue, in return which they have to fire workers to compensate for the loss. Now these workers have no jobs to support their families and will have to look for other jobs, and may even have to rely on government funding for a while. Chains of similar negative events goes on and on.

Bottom line: counterfeiting on the mass scale damages the country's economy greatly and will affect an employee working at the production line of the company all the way up to the governmental level.

i hear what you are saying but the importing vs exporting the US does gives it no chance of recovery.

it was actually in one of the debates where i think romney was talking about how china is messing with the trade market.

it could very well be the vero products but why all of a sudden would they start cracking down so hard?

slim jim 10-22-2012 09:24 PM

they specifically talked about this tonight, and it was based solely on counterfeit items coming from china impersonating US products.

GreenBean 10-22-2012 09:44 PM

What? What? Do I hear politics?

Shhhhh. Dont take the thread off topic.

Do you like burning your fingers?

You are attempting to import two items that are often phakes.

Your supplier knows that. You know that.

You are looking at the monetary value of your phakes and not being sensible.

May be time to look for other items

:juggle:

slim jim 10-22-2012 10:14 PM

NO NO GreenBean I know better. strictly on topic :)

jeffweico 10-22-2012 10:23 PM

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The days of easily being able to import and sell counterfeits are over.

That does not mean nobody is still doing it, but if that is what you are selling, you can expect more seizures, undercover buyers, closed accounts and headaches.

rsot 10-23-2012 05:33 AM

Time to research something else to sell. Solid advice around but end decision is yours - hope it works out.
