| | | mercurial333 | 10-23-2012 08:11 PM | Block bidder, but can still message me I'm blocking bidders which should also stop their messages right?
They can still message me ...
I've done it nicely with commas as is suggested there. I also use space after the comma, since that's properly done, and this worked in the past as well.
What gives? |
| unkown5454 | 10-23-2012 08:17 PM | Anyone can message you. All you did was block their bidding. |

| unkown5454 | 10-23-2012 10:31 PM | Agreed with BiN4RY. You cannot stop their messaging. I have had multiple heated conversations with blocked bidders and competitors... |
| mercurial333 | 10-24-2012 10:00 AM | Some contradicting results in google search and on the Ebay forums about this. Some say it worked ( threads are a few years old ), some say it didn't. Hmm.. |

| Ebayorbust | 10-24-2012 11:19 AM | Agree with unknown and Binary on this. Blocked buyers can still message you (usually with a degree of bad manners and profanity too). |
| Hercules | 10-24-2012 11:27 AM | Go to buyer requirements and check that bottom box for blocking buyers.... |
| Hercules | 10-24-2012 11:34 AM | It might be for USA Ebay but it blocks them from messaging you. |
| newjerseymax | 10-24-2012 08:00 PM | I believe in the account setting there is a place that you can set if blocked bidders can still contact you via messages. I remember seeing it once or twice. |
| jeffweico | 10-24-2012 11:24 PM | I block problematic users, and they can still message me. I NEVER respond in any way. Usually, they go away pretty quickly. If you respond, however, you will have a much tougher time getting rid of them.
Don't give them the attention they are looking for. These are NOT people who can be reasoned with. ANY response from you means they won. |
| BigCJ | 10-24-2012 11:35 PM | Ebay wont let you block the buyers messages.
After all, to them, the buyers are gods that can do no wrong...
Even less rights for the seller, imho...You have to be badgered into a sale./:deadhorse: |
| Hercules | 10-25-2012 05:10 AM | Go to buyer requirements and check that bottom box on that page that has the list of buyers requirements. (where you block bidders for a list of reasons page).
The bottom tab says' to block buyer messages of the ID's you blocked check here'.
I have done this for years and only one buyer snaked his way into messaging me on another ebay ID. |
I still have blocked buyers message. |
| Hercules | 10-25-2012 07:50 PM | Your right I just tested it. Either something changed or they never cared to message me. |
| unkown5454 | 10-25-2012 08:52 PM | Boom goes the dynamite. |

Use quotes.. |
| mattytman | 10-26-2012 05:54 AM | How are they messaging you?
If they have won an item and not paid for it (or you've had another problem etc) then blocking them that way will prevent them contacting you via that item.
If you list another item I think they can still message you through that...
Try selling books on dyslexia or something. You won't get many messages, but when you do, they'll be fun...:gag: |

Use quotes.. | I was just answering rsot that they can message you even if you block them from messaging you with the procedure I outlined earlier. |

About 5 months ago, I blocked somebody, and they emailed saying me they couldn't send a message through Ebay because I ignored them. This was after they purchased something.
Hopefully it does block them properly from buying and that feature isn't broken xD |
