Gaining & Maintaining TRS Accounts

I've just been informed that a 2nd TRS account of mine has been downgraded this month. We are allowed 3 strikes per field right!? The field that has let me down only had 3 strikes so i am confused how they can take it from me?

All the experienced and excellent sellers on the forum that have no trouble at maintaining these accounts do you have any advice on how to do it?

I know it boils down to selling quality products and having accurate descriptions but i think it can still prove troublesome on keeping all DSR fields below 0.50%

All it takes is a few bitter buyers to totally screw us and i think everyone will encounter this seller if we are selling in high numbers.

I now see the power of TSR. The sales on one of my accounts has slowed down a HUGE amount since it kicked in

It can be a very tricky business - im sure some buyers just love leaving low DSR's for the sake of it

Being allowed 3 strikes and letting them happen are different matters.

You should never let your safety net be breached.

In other words, you have 3 strikes but only ever lose one.

You see the result of thinking your way.

The very essence of being TRS allows no margin for inferiority.

The End

( and the end of your TRS if you sell beneath requirements)

HARD to get/maintained and is too easily lost due to stupid buyers... I dont even try for TRS anymore

The DSR "Hits' that ebay allows you to Take here in the US are 2, anything more than 2 MUST then be LESS than .50% of you TOTAL Number of Ratings for that particular Rating,,,So if you have 3 Low Ratings you MUST have 600 or MORE Total ratings for that particular Seller Rating,,If you have less your gone,,,Its all explained right the Seller Dashboard

TRS requires high standard - you cant just expect flow of business to be maintained...you should actively make sure each customer is happy

Interesting gamefreak maybe i should just forget about it also.

Can a good living be made selling 100% non risk items on NON TRS accounts?

I'm sure the answer is YES but will i need many many accounts to compensate for non TRS accounts.

Gamefreak 10-28-2012 02:52 AM

Of course, I do it fine.. been TRS for 2 months, lost it too easily, but my rank is right up there, im always on the first page near the top of middle of the pack.

I think the benefits of trs doesnt make is appealing for all the work thats required. Like rsot said, you have to go out of your way to make sure your customers are happy. Unfortunately if u have time for that ur not selling a lot of items of you deal with ebay exclusively

Sadly, if this is what is required....then do the needful

Problem there is accounts still need to be maintained to ebay needs....

Are you up to dealing with this?

Why can you not clean up your TRS work?

I'm finding keeping a above standard account pretty easy (touch wood)

But maintaining TRS hard. I'd love nothing more than to get these accounts back into TRS standing because i saw first hand how much sales increased.

I'm gonna keep selling and try my best to get back in there. It will takes MONTHS though and thats if no sellers mark me down.

Gamefreak 10-29-2012 10:23 PM

Above standard is easy.. TRS on the other hand...

Just keep those DSR's in Line, and TSR comes automatically and maintains itself

arshavin 10-31-2012 07:42 AM

I've just agreed to pay a buyer £5 to remove a bad feedback. I hope that they have a low marked DSR attatched to it.

This whole TRS system is a sack of &^%$!

AFAIK removing or amending a feedback comment does not alter the DSR ratings attached to them in any way. They remain as they were.

hi none

when the feedback is removed the DSR goes with it

NoneOther 10-31-2012 11:25 AM

Thanks for that but I was under the impression that was only the case if e/b removed the feedback and not so if the buyer amended their comment as they cannot remove feedback, only revise, and they have no way to access the dsr's after their first comment is left.

arshavin 10-31-2012 03:25 PM

Does anyone know for certain if the DSR is deleted alongside the feedback?

It kills me bending over backwards for absolute tools of buyers.

Copied & pasted this straight from eBay:

Quote:

What is Feedback revision?

Feedback revision lets the buyer change the Feedback rating, comment or Detailed Seller Ratings they left for a seller, but only if the seller first sends a request to the buyer asking them to revise the Feedback. Feedback revision will only be available for negative and neutral Feedback ratings.
So it looks like the answer is yes :)

arshavin 10-31-2012 04:31 PM

Cool. I hope this weapon left me a bad DSR haha
