PayPal Purchase Advice help

Okay I'm wanting to buy something from someone. Now i wanted to use paypal, but my accounts a stealth that has the card I want to make payment on. So basically the buyer said I can send him the payment as a 'goods' and he can change the address to post to. Is this true and should the item get lost or not recieved would i still recieved a refund? as i wanted to check..?

is seller expecting you to add the delivery address in on gift address under paypal?

there is the worry he may add the address on some note that paypal can see, like on an invoice. Not necessaily an issue but risky...c

if it got lost, seller would have to refund you if tracking did not show it delivered. Is there tracking? but worry is in a dispute case seller could blab your address..

Just double-check you are both on same wave-length...

Hi, am not sure. Thats why before i send any funds I wanted to check. Basically he sells the same item on ebay but basically he said he'll only deliver on ebay to the stealth address as apparently if he delivers to another address he's not covered.
So i can send the paypal payment direct to him on paypal on his email as 'goods' and apparently he his side can change the address?? This is what he's told me.
Now he's sending it citylink express which is 2-5 days..and am guessing takes a signature too. So I mean if it did get lost etc would i be covered?

Just i live in a new place and its a 3rd floor flat, prior to this ive had alot of problems with DPD/Royal mail delivering to the wrong address, leaving parcels out etc..thus my concern

change it on his side? do not get it...he is basically not covered unless he sends to paypal address or an address you put on as gift address.

you need to find out where he is putting address, inputting it where.

if it got lost, as far as paypal dispute, unless tracking shows to the account postcode or area then it would fail and you would be covered. As for signature, anyone can sign for it at address, so that is not relevant. However in that situation would you want seller blabbing the delivery address?

Aah right. And yeah all valid points. Well I have no idea either what the sellers on about, apparently he thinks if i send the item direct to him on paypal as a good he can change the address his side of where to post it to?

You mean seller I hope?

Why are you making life complicated?

Are you basically trying to do an off ebay transaction but are worried about delivery address and buyer protection?

:juggle:

moneyhustler88 10-29-2012 05:48 PM

Well am not trying to make life complicated, its just all my accounts with the funds are pp stealths.
my ebays pp stealth..

ive since moved to a new place..and i suppose it's that greenbean though :s basically

Whilst PayPal buyer protection is a good tool when needed, I wouldn't want to rely on it if i'm getting items delivered to a previously banned address.

moneyhustler88 10-30-2012 07:13 AM

my previous address isn't banned its just stealth ⊗⊗⊗⊗ details

rsot 10-30-2012 08:53 AM

Just get tracking if the good are important to you. How much is the amount involved for the purchase?

moneyhustler88 10-30-2012 09:47 AM

$800 is the amount

rsot 10-30-2012 11:32 AM

If your previous address isnt banned, I would verify the pp to that address.

$800 is a pretty high amount and you do want coverage - unless you trust the seller completely.

For these kind of cases, I have a solid buying account for pp only.

moneyhustler88 10-31-2012 09:40 AM

Well what ive done is bought the item, i sent it as 'goods' and it had an address which was my mothers but kind of stealthed..lol and then basically ive told the seller i've paid..now he has said hes posting to my current address, but when i go back all it says is credit card charge with no address. So he is going to be delivering to a totally different address to my paypal address..so am hoping i am covered but as he's a top rated seller on ebay im trusing the person..plus on the up side their office isn't far from me..so ill go kick some ass :P aha.
