Default To Call Or Not To Call That Is The Question

Bit of shakespeare for you lot right there.

Here's the lowdown. I've got 2 ebay accounts attatched to 1 paypal.

On one i am selling a £$%^ item and the limits for the account have been increased 2 months straight and now sits at 500+.

The second account on it has 1 strike against it for selling a ^%$£ item but i have sold only legit items on it for month now. Its a powerseller account and is close to maxing its 100 items for this month. I repeat the item i sell on this is LEGIT.

I jumped on ebay chat yesterday and asked if i could have a raise on my limits. The agent said I AM DUE a increase but i need to ring to sort it out.

With a increase i could make a fair bit more money. What would you guys do in this scenario?

I've had increases on accounts that have had VERO takedowns, however in all cases I could tell the agent was rather uneasy giving me an increase and the increases were always very small.

I wouldn't chance it, yes you could make more money, but you'll be making even less if you lose the accounts.

You could have a 100/£3500 account sorted in 3 days, i'd be happier to open a few of those.

Its now 25 items per month man. Also the sales on this account are pretty fast due to it being PS although not quite a TRS.

I do know what you mean though. If i lost this id be down some serious change per month.

Its strange. I expect a increase on this account every month cos its performing well on a legit item.

I have much worser accounts that are pulling in raises often.

Personally I would never, ever contact them to get an increase. I would rather focus my efforts on making and developing new accounts.

Keep the account on the straight and narrow and it will happen in due course

I never contact either but that is because with his stealthy pace,
with Tarquin's ravishing strides, towards his design
moves like a ghost.....

One phone call and you'll get them raised to 100/£3500. That seems standard at the moment.

I am tempted to RSOT. It's a good bit of extra cash for the rest of the month.

Is phoning up not that big a deal?

Do people have there ebays closed often after calling?

I'd be suicidal if it was banned and super happy if limits increased ha

Call them. I can assure you , nothing out of the ordinary will happen. No one is going to limit your account. You will either get the limit lifted or they will say sorry we cannot verify you bla bla bla...

I've made 9 calls this month alone.

Only ever been asked to confirm the eBay user ID & Name.

But i'm always ready with address, DOB, phone number, hair colour, shoe size etc.

They like to ask names of suppliers, web address etc. They go off for 2 mins and take a look.

Once this month have I not been instantly successful in getting the limits increased. And that was sorted with some invoices and docs as the account was selling branded sportswear. But they were delighted with my invoices and increased the limits.

Um, don't mention DHGate if you value your accounts.

I meant web address of supplier. But they'll also ask if you have a website, limited company, VAT number etc.

I dont have these. I think it might be best not to ring.

Do they ask for all this even on brand new accounts yeah?
