I'm in the countryside too, all my sainsburys sell them! Some only stock the £50 ones, but you can pay bills with it so it makes no difference!

Maybe not that simple. I've actually found that asking for a £20 voucher confuses most counter staff because "the computer says £22".

Only bad things about these cards is the expiry is very short. After the expiry date then charge you a fortune to disburse any remaining credit.

But for ease of use they're great. I used to also use Giftcards sold in Whsmith. But they stopped dong em

Very true, the cards are only valid for about a month.

The physical 3v cards are actually 12 months expiry, not 1. Ther voucher isn't that short either... it's 2 months.

Apparently the first Boots store to carry the cards was the Liverpool Street branch, in the square mile (the City of London), which probably explains why they aren't so hard to find around here.

I will always take the card over the voucher, since it's free. And it's definitely preferable to those vanilla VISA cards if you can find it also since they charge you £2.95 purchase price on top of the card's value. As one surprised member of staff at their Bond Street branch told me (he knew that the cards existed but didn't know that any Boots stores actually carried them, and was shocked when he discovered a huge stack of them behind their pile of "Christmas stuff"), it's a no-brainer.

The card is free, and even the voucher will still work out cheaper than those vanila cards, so either way 3v is preferable to them. Don't you have a Paypoint near you?
