Ebay Duplicate Item policy? For Auctions
 

What the heck, is this new?

Buyers cannot see a duplicate auction unless the original auction has a bid on it?


Has this always been around? I've never had this happen to me before but now I'm seeing little notes underneath my auctions under the "active" section saying that buyers cannot see this auction because it's a duplicate auction o_O

Yeah it's new to me lightmaria. I found out the hard way a few days ago BUT I was able to work around the issue.

How about doing 1 fixed price and 1 auction (non-bin) ?
Would that count as duplicate?

Also, since we can't list multiple auction listings of the same item anymore, has switching to a single fixed price listing affect your volume in a negative way at all?

eBay as buyers are tired of seeing 100 listing of the same thing by 1 seller taken up the entire first 1-5 pages... It gets tiring that is why I dont shop on ebay to begin with

if you alter the wording of your title and description you can get around this, however don't do it too often

I'd rather follow the rules, but my sales volume is getting stupidly low right now and I'm trying to think outside the box.
