made a bit of a boob
 

had to issue a refund today no money in paypal account and i slipped up and it took it from bank account instead of credit card

will paypal now see my real name which has been blackballed and close account??

real name is seen only if paypal goes digging.

Straight refund to do the right thing for a buyer should & is usually OK.

What happens is your bank transfer info comes in coded with your sort number & bank account number & name. Numbers are used first.

It gets processed to go to paypal account
It's a numbers game for run of the mill transfers.

Dont imagine that there's someone waiting for a banned name to pop up on bank transfer. Too impractical.

Very nervy for us as we wait.
If all else is OK with the account, there should not be consequences

Yes your real name will be on the receipt that is generated by the transfer.

If it's the first time this has happened just sit tight and carry on as normal, don't go messing around changing stuff on the account, chances are nothing will come of it and providing you keep the account clean it will probably be ok.

It's happened to me on a couple of accounts in the past and they are still up and running as normal many months later.

For future reference always leave enough cash in p/p to cover at least a couple of refunds and even more if you pay e/b fees through p/p.

fingers crossed then i have no problems with account at all so hopefully should be fine and lesson learnt

They are sneaky paypal they always default it to bank account rather than card which i always use

but i fell asleep today and did it without thinking

time will tell eh

Yes name will be seen - will you be banned for it? Unlikely unless repeated activity or manual review - just be careful in the future. Unlikely does NOT mean 100%...time will tell

well seems to be all good and answered. I make an effort to always check what I am paying with cause paypal got me a few times when I just clicked okay, pay, submit.
