I did some searching and couldn't find the answer. I'd like to create a new legitimate stealth account to get back on eBay selling, using the LLC route. My social security number is tied to my suspended account, so I think using a EIN # of a business that I will form could be a good way to go.

What info can eBay see about a LLC by looking it up? Can they get the name(s) of the people that run it? What about the address, phone number, date of formation, etc?

A few other threads seemed to suggest that eBay will want to know the name of the person behind the LLC, and recommended naming the LLC something like "John Doe Collectibles LLC", in which case eBay will think a person named John Doe owns it. The threads suggested that using a name like "Arbitrary Name LLC" is riskier because it's harder to convince eBay of the owner's name. At what point does eBay or Paypal ask for a name of the person behind the LLC operating the account?

Ebay and paypal only looks to see if the EIN matches the name of the LLC you told them i have 2 llc's right now running a ebay & a amazon on each.

But Note i will say that if you look up LLC search (in your state) you can find the name of the registry agent and the registry address but i dont think they do this.

Cool. I already have a LLC that I use for legit non-eBay business. It's completely tied to my real identity but I'm going to use this and see what happens. I'm going to use a VPN to connect to eBay so that I can use my home computer. I think it will work. Worst that happens is the account gets blocked and I try again using the things I've learned.
