Gamefreak | 12-03-2012 12:05 AM | NOT possible unless IPAD was previously jailbroken...
out of luck |
slim jim | 12-03-2012 12:27 AM | i really don't know too much about apple but what about a restore to the factory default? |
SaiJin | 12-03-2012 12:44 AM | Damn... So from now on, just jailbreak everything eh...
Any untether jailbreak for iPhone 5 ios6.01 yet? |
Not possible Apple made it hard even if it was jailbroken |
they_screwed_me_too | 12-03-2012 08:44 AM | yes its doable
bear in mind that any backups you have made on the new OS wont be restorable to the lower OS |
SaiJin | 12-03-2012 10:03 AM | darn.... I guess I'm stuck with iOS6 then.
Thanks for the info. |

Well I jailbreak iPhones iPads Apple tv etc. Only iPhone 3GS iPhone 4 can make this possible if it was jailbroken. iPad 2 you have to have iOS 4 shsh & iOS 5 shsh saved to be able to downgrade from iOS 6. Without it ever being jailbroken with saved shsh while Apple was signing ios 4 & 5 If you don't have those it's impossible to do it on the iPad 2.
Please explain how you are doing it? I have 2 iPads 2 one on 5.1.1 jailbroken and the 2nd was jailbroken and updated to iOS 6 I have iOS shsh saved but not iOS 4 because it's the newer iPad 2 which came out on iOS 5 so impossible. |
SaiJin | 12-03-2012 12:58 PM | so you can't even get the shsh from someone who has it and use his to stitch the ispw? |
No it's specific to each device. Even if you were to buy an iPad 2 that had 5.1.1 and jailbroke it, this would do nothing as the shsh has to be saved when Apple is still signing the iOS. The bottom line is never update. I'm still on iOS 5 with my iPhone 4S. |
planes | 12-08-2012 11:27 PM | IMO Apple sucks. I won an Ipad 2 and hate the software brick wall. Just to throw a pic on it I have to open itunes search for file load file. PIA.
NOw if I want to use it it has to check in with Apple or connect to itunes, the jailbreak causes programs to uninstall so I have to install after itunes.
People are brainwashed by Apple. I can't believe how they have conned millions of people to buy into this.

DoubleA | 12-09-2012 04:14 AM | I never upgrade. Unless something is really good. But I keep it as is. Until I get ride of it.
Ipad 2 is still on iOS 4 or 5. The one that was put on when I purchased it. The day it was released. A few years ago.
iPhone 5 same software since launch date. |

When the guy in the video selects the blob source from Cydia, he's requesting the shsh blob that allows you to downgrade from Cydia, not Apple. That blob is mandetory for downgrading, and the only way for Cydia to have your older blobs backed up is if you have jailbroken your device at least once in the past, and have allowed Cydia to back them up. I doubt you even watched the video because he clearly stated that you need to have jailbroken the device before in the middle of the video.
Apple purposely deletes these blobs from their server to prevent you from downgrading, and if you have never jailbroken your device before, Cydia would not have saved your blobs. Without the blobs, you cannot downgrade. |
Gamefreak | 12-10-2012 04:24 PM | Binary is right. that guy that claims he does it every day in is shop prolly doesnt know a thing about ipads or jailbreaking anything I bet.
If he does trust me he wouldnt be here as I know lots and lots of ppl who would gladly pay good money to have their device downgraded. Jailbreaking your device is another reason why ppl do it, so you can downgrade later if you please. |

Claims of being able to be done are not proven. I have the iphone4S. I checked with various people B4 going to instal the new OS. The advice was to avoid installing it. Unlike Gates' toys, it is too arduous a task to undo actions..
Part of the problem is the fact of making the warranty of the item void if 'fiddling' is done.

Gamefreak | 12-10-2012 09:41 PM | Greenbean, didnt you just drop m$ for apple? how you like the restriction?:boink::pound: |
moneyhustler88 | 12-11-2012 03:38 AM | i heard the same..like alot of people don't wanna void that 'loved' apple warranty and never jailbreak | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:58 PM. | |
