I can't get my limits raised from 10/1000

I got my PP verified and limits on PP lifted and linked it to my ebay and its still 10/1000. I thought after I do all these I can sell 100 a month? What am I doing wrong?

Nephilim 12-07-2012 10:48 PM

You need to show eBay why you deserve higher selling limits. Be patient with these limits and build up feedback and your seller rating and ebay will gradually raise your limits as they see fit. Also run multiple accounts or attach two accounts per one paypal for a max of 20 items.

HunterStudios 12-08-2012 11:45 AM

I always make sure to max out my selling limits each month, it provides a stronger case to eBay that you need higher limits. Make sure you always sell 10 items or $1000 a month.

keepaskingqq 12-08-2012 01:32 PM

I thought if we verified our paypal it becomes 100/1000?

BigCJ 12-08-2012 02:07 PM

thats the UK ebay/paypal.

Not the USA accounts.

they are lucky, but i thought for uk accts if you wanted to raise limits they sent you a code in the mail

Sandy D 03-15-2013 09:57 PM

10/1000 is normal for a new account.

Many have had success calling but they will ask some questions that you need to answer correctly.

Nephilim 03-18-2013 06:59 PM

If you do call to get them lifted, be prepared to answer questions as Sandy mentioned of the person on the account. I have had some success on some and others not so much. I did have some occurrences when the eBay support rep couldn't verify me with the questions, they would try calling the number on the account or sending you a code to your email in which you then need to tell them the code during the call.

They will raise your limits to 50 items $2500 if you are successful but if you are after the 100 item increase, you will need to answer the questions correctly when you get the set of questions on the site. At least that is how it was for me.

you mean the question set to verify your ID? I didn't answer them because I know 100% of my info is boo-hoo anyway. And in the newest accounts, they don't even let me do that. If I want to increase faster, I have to call them. But eBay naturally increase my selling limit, so it is not that big of a deal, just a matter of time to build it up.

jamblix 03-18-2013 08:13 PM

It takes a few months around 3-4 of selling to the max limits with 100% positive feedback, 4.8-5 star DSRs and 100% policy compliance to get them lifted automatically in my experience.

nebuspp 03-20-2013 11:48 AM

It doesn't take anything but the correct answers to get your limits raised. I called in and talked to a few reps and finally got connected to the right guy. Answers all questions properly, I controlled the conversation, and got an increase to ***/2*,***.

This is a less than 30 day old account. No credit card. Business Paypal verified. ZERO sales and ZERO feedback. Unable to verify my identity.

At the end of the call, the rep actually told me to keep up the good work.

Needless to say, I was ecstatic and had the jitters bc I certainly wasn't expecting that! =}

when you say they asked questions, what are these questions? like what are they related to

nebuspp 03-20-2013 02:32 PM

It was pretty much about your current business practices, how you conduct your business, and what you look to get out of eBay. Kind of like an interview...just gotta blow them away and make them believe you know what you are doing.

moneyhustler88 03-21-2013 07:51 AM

how do you do that on UK Accounts??

Toolman89 03-21-2013 09:46 PM

For AUS accounts you have to confirm your bank account with Paypal. Then you click Request Higher Selling Limits, it will take you to a page saying Confirm Bank Account with Paypal which you've already done so you just put in your paypal password and boom, your limits are raised to 100/7500

moneyhustler88 03-26-2013 08:44 PM

I've done it on a uk paypal with no luck

Agree Speeder33 - if simply so, would be pretty sweet.

Mr. Invisible 03-31-2013 10:55 PM

Time to open some AUS accounts to test this out.

Success depends on how the account is made.

What type of account have you made for the UK?

Actually I have not called for a limit increase on any of my .CA accounts in FOREVER...I just spread sales and use other accounts.

So in the past 7 years or so, never called or requested limit increase. I let the accounts go up naturally whenever possible. Make new backups.

I certainly dont have the activity level that you have though, Sandy_D. I just keep my requests to eB to a minimal.
