ebay and invoices what should i do

Hi All

Great forum and found out a lot in 2 days so thanks all .

my account was on hold and they asked to send details to verify my identity , they asked to send passport , bank statement , id , invoice etc .

i sent the details and then got this reply .

We have received your documents; however I'm afraid they didn't come through the verification process. We have received the invoice for 10 items only.

You may list items within your available selling allowance which is 100 items and 3500£.
If you would like this reviewed at any stage please forward us additional invoices.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to your response so that we can resolve this matter as soon as possible.
Many thanks,
Kylie Stortford

so i am back sellinng just now and thats good but i thought i was just sending the documents to verify my id not for a higher selling allowance ,

i originally called on the 14th of last month to have higher selling allowance and they would increase to 100 or £3500 but had to wait until the 14 of december to call again for higher allowance .,

the question i ask is they are asking for invoices and i do have them all but i buy direct from one wholesaler who buys the goods from the direct wholesalers who supply him but i have invoices for everything i sell .

i only sent them 1 invoice because they only asked for 1 and i thought it was for id verification .

should i call them and send them more invoice to try increase my selling limits .

a lot of people on here say dont contact them as it just highlights things to ebay .

what would you advise .

Never call Ebay unless you have too. Only send what they ask for and nothing more or less. Submit the documents they ask for and wait for them to respond to you.

Just call them again if you want higher limits. That was the whole point of you calling in the first place.

You already had to deal with sending stuff in, and calling in before, so it's not going to bring any more attention to your account then there already is. I would call. I've done so before in a situation similar to yours

thanks mc .

would i be bringing any unwanted attention to me if i call them .

should i call them and ask what invoices they need and send them all the invoices i have to prove i have purchased the stock from someone .

I don't see why people think it's a sin to call eBay. Thousands of people call them a day - it's pretty normal. You'd have to stand out significantly to really catch their attention. Aside from that, there's millions of users on eBay and there's thousands who are breaking more rules than you are, getting suspended, etc... If you're prepared, then it should be no problem. If you're shady or unprepared then it could be a problem.

But if they told you to wait until Dec. 14th to call again for higher selling limits, then wait

no i am all prepared and i am not doing anything i shouldnt .

i have all invoices but i just wonder if they will think its suspicious cause all the invoices are from the one supplier .

anyone know if they look for multiple invoices from multiple companies

GreenBean 12-08-2012 07:37 PM

Why would there be a problem with invoices from one supplier?

In another post of yours, you said you are 'legit'. Why is this going to be an issue?

Some sellers have only one supplier.

You just seem a little confused about everything you are doing.

I would be careful of whatever you do....

:peace:

If you are legit then you have no reason not to send the requested info right?

bjs 12-09-2012 07:17 AM

no its because im new and hearing a lot of different things . i didnt think it would be a problem with one supplier but just asking incase ebay think its suspicious .

yeah there should be no problem sending the details in but when i read on hear about a lot of horror stories i just want to be cautious incase i do something i shouldnt be doing .

sorry for sounding confused but at times i am a little lol

Hi,

Ebay is requesting invoices which I don't have.

Can anyone help me generate this?

Happy to pay the right amount :)

On my screen the names show as green or red. I think he means red. Those are older members with more experience. :)
