Anybody ever get banned using a VPN?
 

Hey all. Anybody ever get banned from eBay using a VPN?

I'm using a VPN that I'm paying $4.99 a month for. The IP changes each time I connect, but the IP range stays the same. For example, one time my IP might be 222.62.11.76, and another time it might be 222.62.14.217.

I'm still developing my own techniques to stay anonymous. I know VPS is much more safe. Should I abandon the VPN and connect from now on using a VPS with a dedicated IP?

This is a good question that I am curious about too. I've seen some posts here saying not to use a VPN but there is no explanation why. To me a VPS is just not secure enough to be inputing info on bank accounts, credit cards, etc. If anyone has been definitively banned due to VPN I'd like to know. Thanks.

Lot of folx have been banned on VPN - eB has a whole range of IPs that they know about and can flag easy.

I keep notes.... heaps of them.

several Asian users banned because of using VPN.

Worse than the ban was the permanent limitation by paypal AND retention of funds.

It's not up for discussion that there are other factors. I went all over emails, listings.
Primal cause of losing their ebay & paypal was VPN.

I can never ever suggest a user in the USA would need VPN. I even draw the line at VPS.
Take it or leave it.

Look for better ways to access your internet to use both ebay,payapl & amazon.

I am not talking of accounts working for say 12 weeks. I am talking of stealth accounts working for months to years.

That is the bottom line of being successfully stealth
