Flynumber problem with ebay
 

I have set up a flynumber and it works forwarding to my iPhone when calling from another mobile but its not phoning me with eby phone verification - waited 30minutes and still nothing. Tried different formats and still nothing.

Is this normal?

I have used tollfree forwarding and its worked.

does it cost you to forward the call - if so do you have enough credit?

30 day trial, number is a landline number based here. I'll use it for 30 days and change the number to a new sim.

Tollfreeforwarding has a very limited collection of numbers and most of them are used already. Be very cautious with them

They are not recommended.

And once you start mucking around with the numbers, free trial, the company will react.

All of these companies, tollfree, flynumber start out as potentially fine for stealth.

Then after long periods of (mis)use, the benefits of using them becomes less and less.

Yup ..... I got one of my accounts lined with someone elses account using flynumber ...

You get what you pay for in most circumstances....think about it :)

the companies actually can block verifications eventually eg. block ebay calling, as they realise the numbers are being used for that.

bad business on their part, apart from the fact people do keep numbers long-term for ebay, even if they do not and just use for a month, that is a good revenue for these companies, so their loss.

The argument was that users were making use of the free trials & there was little to no revenue for them.

I know that and anyway it is silly to even touch a free trial obviously it is re-used numbers.

OP is talking about ebay verifications - what I am saying is you can PAY and still not get
the code. He is not necessarily doing anything wrong it is probably blocking ebay. I am trying to give some extra info, cos I have been there.
