Should I win this PayPal dispute?

Will make this short:

I am the buyer. It was outside eBay, and I paid with PayPal. They sent a money request for the specified amount, I paid it, but when I got my item it was pretty different from the photos and most likely a replica. Despite it not saying in the money request or invoice what the item was exactly, can I still open a claim/dispute?

I know buyers usually have the advantage in disputes whether the problem is genuine or not, so I'm hoping I should be good for this...

ALSO: I might as well ask this here...I paid on another website with a credit-card since they didn't accept PayPal. I used a Vanilla Visa Card. I encountered problems there as well...Can you open chargebacks with Vanilla Visa pre-paid cards?

Yes you can open charge backs with MOST pre-paid cards. Go on the back and check the website of the card log in and dispute it. You should win if it is a Phake, but contact the seller and let him or her know what is going on. Ask for a refund or something.

GOOD LUCK

I can't trust that they'll give me a refund if I sent it back. :mad2:

In the pp transaction does it say buyer protected?

Hmm I have not heard abotu chargebacks with prepaids....you have to prove 1) it wasnt you and that takes quite a feat and 2) there will be a fee involved if you are successful.

You will have to send it back anyways for Paypal to refund you. You're best bet is to email the seller and tell them you think it's phake and that you want a refund or you will open a case/chargeback. Also, don't forget to upload the tracking number when you send it back.

Phake, Not Phake it does not really matter,,in almost all disputes all paypal really tries to accomplish is to get the seller back the item and get the buyer back the money, it is really that simple
