Default eBay selling limit advice...

Hi,

to those that have access to an address and requested a code to be sent to raise selling limit, how much is it normally raised to?

Im current always getting 10/£650, despite adding a fully verified PP, and trying various methods of opening my stealth's.

It should get you 25 once you enter the PIN. Are you saying that it does nothing for you when entered?

@simplex - i have been getting the same issue starting Dec 2012. Are your limits getting increased in that normal way (reaching limits, fast post, time etc).

I haven't made any into business accounts but will this increase limits?

This should not make a difference. Whether you leave the account as personal or upgrade to a business, you should get your 25.

Oh ok, I thought it was only 25 if you were a business seller? As why would a personal seller have the same limits as a business account... doesnt make sense really.

I should mention the stealth's I've already created, I don't have access to the address, but I have used a FULLY verified PP with VCC linked and confirmed and bank verified.

I always get 10/£650 selling limit (new accounts with 0 sales), despite having some set up as personal or business accounts.

So having access to the address normally only gives you a selling limit of 25? How much £ limit though?

I would have thought having a code sent would have given you at least 100/£3500??!

As far as e/b are concerned EVERYONE has access to their registered address.

Limits have nothing to do with anything other than them controlling what a new user can do until they are satisfied that they are not a risk.

Everyone now gets the same limits initially regardless of the account being personal or business.

25/£750. They did away with the standard 100/£3500 around July if I remember correctly. And to get that you have to have access to your address, if they decide to send you a letter.

So if I have access to an address and request a code to be sent out by letter on a NEW stealth with 10/£650 selling limit, I'm only likely to get a limit increase to 25/£750??

So to those that stuck with selling limit of 10/£650 on a new account and met the limit every month for 90 days or more, what did the 'auto' limit increase to?

Auto increases are not set amounts but determined more by what you sell and how the account is run.

As said before there are no hard and fast rules anymore when it comes to selling limits imposed by e/b, they are determined by their risk analysis and until you prove to them your account is not above their 'normal' risk parameters you just have to go with their dictates.

There is no way around it.

OK, but what is a popular common limit people receive after meeting the 10/£650 limit (run well selling non-vero items) after 3 or so months ?

you would be looking (from experience) at around 40-100

but you have to be squeaky and sell to your limits

one of my accounts have gone from 100 to 900 in 6 months

Oh my gosh, is that it??

I will be as squeaky as possible across all my stealth's and will hit my limit too, but was hoping a lot more than that...lol
