Quality of laptop to have multiple users

I am using a duo 2 core 2.4 GHz laptop with 10 users set up. But the processing speed is slow especially when changing between users. I am thinking of upgrading my laptop to i3 core. any suggestion?

I have the exact same setup with my HP laptop. I have no problems with over 15+ users.

Is your computer running fast?

I use the following to keep my laptop running fast:

CCleaner: CCleaner - CNET Download.com

Advanced System Care: Advanced SystemCare - CNET Download.com

Malwarebytes: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - CNET Download.com

AVG: AVG AntiVirus Free 2013 - CNET Download.com

I run the above first thing everyday when I boot up my laptop.

In addition, I defrag my hard drive once per week.

Of course I backup everything using an External HD.

I'm ordering a new laptop next week that will make this current setup look like a slow moving freight train.

Good luck.

i7 or i5 core with 8g ram will bring about a huge difference - base models.

Maybe some computer guru here can give me advice?

I currently have a HP and love it. Had it 4+ years, never had a problem.

I want a 15" laptop (same as now), Fast, 500GB+ HD (fast), 8GB ram, prefer Windows 7, and I don't really care about the weight since it rarely leaves my desk.

Price is not important, HP's are inexpensive compared to the MacBooks I spend $3,000+ for my kids.

Not to mention their iPads, iPods, iPhones, etc.., think my kids like cults?

I want to stick to HP, don't want to switch brands.

Thanks.

hahaha, you want to change your setup, why.

The cpu, processor, does not have to do anything with changing over user accounts. That problems comes with the hard drive. You either need to clean out your hard drive, defrag it or upgrade your set up to a SSD (solid state drive) hard drive.

Use all of the tools that Roscoe said and you should be fine. There is no need to buy a new computer with a fancy i7 processor to speed up stuff. I will take your "core" processor with a SSD over a i7 and mechanical hard drive any day.

If you play games on this set up and you really need to upgrade to something newer based. But mostly just upgrade the graphics card, gpu.

Like everything the right answer is..... it depends. If you dont have enough RAM (or free memory) then your pc will be dog slow cause it has to swap out to disk for everything you do. Try opening tons of windows and apps at the same time and you will see what I mean.

Remember however that if you go over 4gb of RAM you will need a 64 bit OS otherwise you just wasting your time (and money).

and as far as a computer for ebay, my ebay laptop is about 5 years old. all it has installed is windows, antivirus and THAT'S IT. make sure you log off of each user when you are done using it rather than switching users.
