PayPal SSN request! Anyway to remove limitation?
 

Hello everyone!

Happy new year! I know it is a little too late.

So I have a question. I have a stealth paypal and they limited the account. i was able to provide all the information they asked for except for the SSN for the obvious reasons.

Is there way I can talk to them and ask them to remove the limitation without providing the SSN? I did not hit the 200 transactions and the $20000 threshold. Can I use that in my argument? Or is it a lost cause? Has anyone else ran into this before?

Very unlikely to have success without providing the documentation they want. You can try calling but it is a waste of your time

Might have been better to ask here before you gave the 1st lot of ID.

What exactly did you provide?

Name, address etc?

I provided ID, Address, and Invoices. Its all stealth info... you can use your imagination how I was able to provide all of that.

Something tells me that the account is done and I will have to wait for the money to be released 180 days from now.

Your opinion?

I do not think you will beat them at it. They have to deal with the IRS request and wont back down from it.

At least I have not heard of anyone beating it yet.

Read more around the board because the 200/20k means almost nothing if eb and or pp sees you have to potential early to hit those numbers with good amount of sales early.

Many have not even come close to those numbers and got the request.

I am almost positive that there is not point of arguing with them. Im just gonna have to sit on the money and wait just like everyone else.

After re reading this I thought originally that you got hit with the IRS request.


Did you get limited for other reasons and if you dont mind sharing if it is limited for other reasons what was the reason.

You can never know for sure why you get limited, my guess is that I had too much money come in a short period of time+ no bank account+ no ssn + (ssn message has been up for a while now.

The account has around $9000. I had no problem until I have about $2000 come in in around 4 days. Before I have about $1500 come in the same time frame and nothing, I guess I pushed my luck. Although which reason I have no idea though.

No request from IRS..... Just paypal

Oh yes the dollar amount might have been the icing.

How old is the account?

And I know now are aware to spread your sales to lower risk.

The account is like 2-3 month old
