PayPal rep accidentally limited my account! UK Story!
 

So I made a new stealth....and basically was going through my stealth and obviously was lifting limits after adding the bank account..then i submitted the ID of photo ID they ask for..so 5 days went by and I heard nothing..I decided to ring PayPal.

I got through to a guy with an irish accent called 'sean' and he reviewed my account and said the ID submitted was fine, all limits lifted+ verified+ VCC linked and confirmed stealth address (think they charge £1 or something extra to do this but you get it back) and basically I was like thanks, so fully unlimited now.

.Was about go on and hang up and he said..oh **** (yeah he actually swore) he said can you hold on a second I've made a mistake..(and i actually thought i'd been realised and sussed that this was a stealth account) so I acted cool..and said yeah sure whats up? And he said I accidentally hit the wrong button and your accounts now fully limited. I was like WHAT????

I haven't done anything!! And he's like oh yeah I'm aware of that I just accidentally hit it I apologise..I'm thinking well you better fix it!! So he says your logged onto paypal right now yes..and he asks me to log out..then he says give me 2 minutes..comes back..okay log on now, and the accounts unlimited.

So yeah if you ever are ringing from the UK to PayPal and get some guy with a irish accent called sean..he's a complete idiot lol..and this is the only time i've ever had an account get limited when I actually did nothing lol..although maybe you could say ringing paypal got me linked lol??!

Lot's of Irish accents and guys called Sean in Dublin where UK p/p CS are based.

Funny story mh88 but at least the agent was nice enough to fix the issue - few agents would have been fug it and hung up

so basically.........you called paypal, someone pressed the wrong button then fixed their mistake straight away?

Well he put me on hold for 5 minutes..then fixed it. It was odd. But yeah am sure all the paypal agents use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names and loads of seans..but this was paypal team on UK number..so yeah if you ever get anyone with an irish accent beware...what was funny was he accidentally clicked limit..and the limitation was 'safe use' he accidentally clicked..lol then i logged back on and account was fine and normal..

like someone in their Irish call centre?

Most Tech companies are now based out of Ireland because of their Low Corporate Tax Rates, lowest in Europe.

Plus Ireland has one of highest rated education systems in the world and supposedly they speak English (if you can understand what they're saying), lol. :pound:

Yep your all right, but not all of the people i've dealt with their have irish accents. Infact most of them sound european or english. But hey anyway beware..
