Vacation but still working on ebay
 

I am going on vacation for about a month all the way across the country.

I use wireless internet with a wireless modem to connect. My question was about the ip.

Since I will be working across the country how do I log into my stealth accounts without jeopardizing any of the accounts? I am not interested in putting my accounts on vacay mode, as I will be working as well.

Any ideas? I have separate user accounts on my computer. I don't tether, so I need advice on how to continue without any road bumps.

It wouldnt faze me, I would just login from wherever I am. If you are paranoid you could call CS and tell them you are traveling and they will note your account.

Lot of people operate their accounts with out of state IP so I would not worry either.

I do it all the time, never a problem.

Make sure you use the same laptop....

Good point about laptop - cookie preservation helps for avoiding call to verify PIN, etc.

OK, thanks. I was planning on bringing my laptop since I have all my users saved on it. I was just worried about the IP thing. I appreciate all the advice.

but how are you going to be shipping sold items ?

i got banned for logging in whilst out of the country

call them and tell them your travelling but your a "good ebay member" and want to keep your finger on the pulse

they will note your account rather than flag it "fo dodgy bidness"

Well I am not going to be out of the country- just in another state in the US.

I am planning on shipping them the same way? I am not sure what you mean specifically by that question. I am bringing some inventory and then shipping them

If I know I am going to be on vacation for a long period of time I do not list any buy it nows and run items for 7 or 10 days to end when I return. If gone longer I do not list anything.

Used to go on vacation to a certain beach all the time, drove into the parking lot, used their wifi and new ip and answered questions.

Easy peasy.

what happens if you go on vacation out of the country?

If I am going to be out of the country I plan it to not have anything being sold until I return.

If it is more then 10 days and I have done that, I dont list anything that time period.

And I never let her touch my ebay accounts, she did enough damage to ebay already.

Now she is doing some damage over at HP

why would they hire her knowing she nearly destroyed ebay.

Did she replace Carly Fiorina?
