The book is AWESOME !!! :) Heres what I've done so far :

I registered and ordered the book -- I'm up to step 9.

heres what i've done so far:

set up new user on my computer to be used only for ebay/pp. using aol as my proxy
got a ups box
got a phone# from tollfreeforwarding.com
got a visa yellow $30 gift card and registered it online.
set up a wamu savings acct. online --waiting for the two tiny deposits
got a gmail address

as soon as the savings account is verified -- i'll log into ebay & pp (thru aol of course) and get things registered --rite?

If your going to sell alot use ccnow. It would be much easier. Dont use paypal as its a dead end as modee says and I agree.

trig 06-28-2008 08:30 PM

but the items i will soon be selling are vero items --won't ebay require me to pp ?

aspkin 06-29-2008 03:44 AM

So far so good trig, keep it up.

Yes they will require you to use paypal but the workaround is as said inthe stealthbook is: You have to make a new gmail account and put it as the paypal payment email address and disable auto checkout for ebay. By putting the new gmail account for the paypal payment email address you'll completely bypass the whole system of ebay requiring paypal. When you use ccnow you will be able to accept paypal so you won't lose any business. Are you selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or just high risk items?
If your sellig ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items you'll have problems whether you use a merchant account, paypal, or any other payment processor.

how many ebay accts can I tie into one merchant account?

John14789 06-29-2008 03:50 PM

You can you can tie up many ebay accounts with one merchant account. Just keep a common name such as if your selling clothes then put something like USA clothes for less.

aspkin 06-29-2008 11:01 PM

John you're becoming an expert of all this pretty fast. Probably faster then any other person I've seen so far. Have you setup your account(s) already?

John14789 06-30-2008 03:39 AM

I'm doing alot of reading and I've gained alot of knowledge from this forum and especially you aspkin without your ebook I don't know where I would be ebay wise. Yes tomorrow the account will be setup as I only had to get the giftaccount, phone forwarding, and open up the ebay account I did all the other stuff already. I just didn't want to do any work on Sunday so Monday is when everything will be complete.

trig 07-01-2008 01:58 PM

I have one ebay/pp acct up! :) :)

working on the second one now. ;)

John14789 07-01-2008 02:09 PM

Thats awesome trig keep up the good work and remember if you need any help there are people here who can help you. Just keep it slow selling wise on the new accounts until thryre about 30 days old. Get some feedback by buying items(not .1 cent auctions) and selling stuff around the house.

trig 07-01-2008 02:21 PM

it might take me 30 days just to get up 5 accounts! :( ;)

thanx for the help pal.

aspkin 07-02-2008 08:52 AM

Good stuff, remember take your time setting up accounts and you should be fine.

trig 07-03-2008 09:43 AM

2nd acct -- Good To Go! :)

I'm setting up the third today.

I have yet to use the accounts --I'm trying to 'nurture' them -- aka, chill.

trig 07-08-2008 09:16 AM

third eb/pp acct --totally verified! :)

i am setting up two more accts in the next week.
I have yet to use any of them.
I REALY think I need a merchant acct, but I'm so confused how to do it!
(I've spent at least a week drowning in threads over this)

I wish someone could do it for me. :(

John14789 07-08-2008 01:04 PM

Simply signup for ccnow. Remember to use a generic business name. Then link a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ verified paypal account to your ebay acccout. Then in your auctions tell people you will accept paypal then when the time comes to pay send them a little letter with a linkto your invoice. Ask ebayhateluv for the letter. Simple! Anymore questions about the merchant account?

trig 07-08-2008 02:24 PM

I'm waiting for my google checkout acct to verify (micro deposit in a couple days).
Once thats done, what do you think I should do after that?

John14789 07-08-2008 02:42 PM

If your gonna take the google checkout route instead of the ccnow route then your best bet is to take one on one tech support with modee to set you up with google checkout and ebay. Or another option is to look st the the numerous threads made by modee on gc.

trig 07-08-2008 03:13 PM

.

based on what I hear that ccnow is history on ebay, I may try to integrate google checkout with ebay WITH Modees help.

sometimes I start thinking that I'll just take my chances with paypal.

This has become very tiring for me.
