Are my competition shill bidding?

hey guys ive just started selling a new product and its going ok, although i find it very frustrating, that other sellers selling the same product are getting more money on there auctions. its a bit of a kick in the teeth :noidea: especially when i have higher feedback wich is also 100% better photos, detailed item description. this one guy selling the same thing has one photo of his product and one measly paragraph wich barely describes it compared to mine. i mean how can they beet me almost every time? and if they are shill bidding how the heck are they doing it and getting away with it?

Most likely they are. The problem is...if they know about stealth and have multiple Accounts then I am sure they are.

Yes they are definitely shill bidding. I have experienced it on a lot of my auctions and it is extremely frustrating. Most of the accounts are probably stealth accounts they create for this purpose because there are endless bids by people with 0 feedback.

well that sucks so if there from stealths they can get away with it? even if they are continuously doing it from the same accounts or will they have a number of them. its down right dirty so if i report them will ebay do anything?

Sure they can get away with it if they are using well made stealth accounts. Is it right? No but watcha gonna do?

Sounds like you need to take a lot more time to research and understand your niche OP. No way of giving more info without you being open about your item for opinions.

I was bidding on toilets from a Florida dealer about a dozen times last year. I was putting in low-ball bids and getting just outbid by the same guy with 0 fb every time. I gave up figuring it had to be the seller who was shill bidding.

Just some more proof, I experienced this today:

I had 5 auctions of the same item on 5 different accounts and had a buyer put an extremely high bid on each auction. 2 hours before the end of the auctions he messaged me on all the auctions and asked to cancel his bid because he didn't want to wait the two hours, and bought it somewhere else.

Luckily I was on the computer and was able to cancel all his bids otherwise he would not have paid for any of them and I would've been screwed on all those auctions.
