submitted ID getting denied now?

About 1/5 of my new paypal accounts become limited. They require I send in photo ID.

I've been creative and usually pass without a problem.

But lately they all get denied. Anybody else struggling with this?

What is the exact message you get? Post up please

Well I just get the usual "your account is limited, but please follow these steps:"

- proof of address (ID)
- confirm your bank account
- change your password
- change your security questions

Those are all easy, but it seems like the ID part is getting rejected every time now. Well, the last 2. Might just be some of coincidence, but I'm starting to think they might look up the information on the drivers license?

Then I get denied and the account is fully suspended.

I have called Paypal a few times when my account has been suspended and submit my information with the Paypal rep on the phone with me so they can look it over as I submit it. I found this is the best way to handle it so that if they have any questions or concerns they ask me immediately and I can answer them and move on.

And what kind of ID are you using?

Drivers license.

It's not a huge deal, I was just wondering if anyone else's ID's are going through, but usually do... as of the last few weeks.

I just scrap the account and make another, no biggie.

Post Christmas, the screws have tightened especially for the USA & Canadian users.
Outright rejection.

UK users are suffering with much longer than usual response times after submitting paperwork.

Not aware ( as yet) of a definitive change of methods from paypal in any of the countries mentioned above.

Yeah in the past I've sent in an ID and it worked no problem. They asked for an ID a couple weeks ago on one of my accounts and they didn't accept it either for some reason. Not sure why...

Yep! I've spoke with them 4 ot 5 times via phone last week to resolve my limitation. I've uploaded all the documents and spoke with some rep who told me that everything is looking great. But i'm still waiting for response. It is one week from the limitation.
The rep told me that he can't restore my account (actually all of the reps told me that), but i know that they can, because in the past there was some account that has been reinstated by the reps on the phone.

P.P.: There was a problems with my last transactions on this accounts. They want from me proof of delivery or tracking number. I have 3 transactions for highly risk items. One is paid via invoice. I added for this transaction a doc for proof of delivery and tracking number. For the 2nd a refunded the buyer, because there was a problem with him. And the 3d, the buyer paid by request money form for goods. The rep told me that there is problem with this transaction, because i have not added a shipping info. (the only info for this transaction is the name of the item in title of message, no other info) I explained to him that the buyer wants a cheap shipping costs and i have only signed document for delivery and he told me that this is fine and will write done this to the case. But now, i'm worried that it might be a problem for reinstatement of the account. What you think ?:boink:
