| testdog | 02-01-2013 10:59 AM | Freelancing on eBay I thought of trying that out and offer my services on eBay...
Is there a good demand for such services on eBay (UK) ? |
| oompaloompa | 02-01-2013 11:19 AM | maybe look at feedback of sellers, I think if you already have a business it is good to use ebay too. Doubt it is a full income in itself though.
Unlocking phones, repairing stuff, man with a van....etc |

Is there a good demand for such services on eBay (UK) ? | Wouldnt know about such on ebay but ive used Freelancer.co.uk - Hire Freelancers & Find Freelance Jobs Online several times as my knowledge of computers could be written on the back of a small stamp.
maybe you could offer your services on there ? |
| testdog | 02-01-2013 11:46 AM | I just don't like chasing jobs on such sites. I find it a waste of time :/ |
| slim jim | 02-01-2013 12:16 PM | why not try? it's basically free to try out |
| testdog | 02-01-2013 12:18 PM | I don't want to take that path... even if they pay me... haha :D |
| oompaloompa | 02-02-2013 11:07 AM | what type of services? freelancing sites are usually admin and they do not pay much, so doubt they would pay much on ebay either.
you talking about admin or other stuff? |
| moneyhustler88 | 02-03-2013 08:42 PM | They'res plenty of sites for freelance work..- fiverr, fivesquids, elance, freelancer, blackhatworld..loads man..just open your eyes to the fact if your freelancing on eBay it's a easy way to limit your account + you got to think you'll pay fees too+ whatever you earn |

There are people who do that. |
Re: Freelancing on eBay Freelancing saved me when my EBay life went to ****. Regular work, payment into any bank account, work from anywhere, love it. |

| moneyhustler88 | 02-04-2013 02:02 PM | Limited because intangible items like phone unlocking in previous threads have meant limited buyer protection which is what they see as 'high risk' to buyers...+ theirs threads somewhere i read about them closing down ebays for this too |
| testdog | 02-04-2013 02:41 PM | Right... I tried posting on fiverr... Let's see how it goes ! Thanks folks. |
Re: Freelancing on eBay Freelancing websites such as those mentioned, also contacting companies directly |
| bruceuk | 02-04-2013 03:02 PM | Makes no sense to me whatsoever .
You will post on fiverr to get $4 for your time but dont have the time for freelancer
Good luck |

Good luck | You mean freelancer.com ? I will try that too... Step by step. |
| moneyhustler88 | 02-05-2013 11:10 AM | I agree with bruce..although I sell on Fiverr i just do stuff i'd never be able to sell on ebay or any other site because of the amount of traffic they have ie: me singing for commercials etc.
TBF Fiverr is crap money apart from when you become a level 1 or 2 seller then you can make upto $8 or $12 or $18 a transaction. When you become top rated you can make upto $45 a transaction...(bit like ebay levels)
Last year I made $3000 on Fiverr just by rapping and doing testimonials..this tear so far i've only made around $200..but hey as a uni guy for me every penny counts |
| testdog | 02-05-2013 11:14 AM | I got so many responses on fiverr since I made my post ! :D
I don't mind making money by doing a lot of work... so... :amen: |
| moneyhustler88 | 02-06-2013 04:25 AM | yeah tbh thats the thing, too many people think it's only $4 but once you go up in levels its more and its only 10 positive sales and your level 1, if you just create a few fiverr accounts and age them, then say on a 6 month old account you sell 10 items u'll shoot up in levels very fast. their systems unusual as an aged account seems to increase faster in levels than a new account (even if it it has no use for 6 months) . I hate Fiverr because their system is botted and as soon as it flags your account your accounts disabled, and i've only ever got 1 account back when it's been disabled and that took a huge fight too. Customer service is terrible for Fiverr. But? well they just have the huge amount of traffic for business for freelancing in the area I do that no one else has..which means although right now they're not making me a huge amount of $ it's still money. |
| oompaloompa | 02-06-2013 06:36 AM | ebay is schizo about services. you get stuff being offered eg. unlocking and they let sellers run and run for months and then suddenly take them down, I have bought stuff, paid, got good service and then get email saying the auction got mc'd so I cannot even leave good feedback. Then other services get left alone. I think a business acc with an established real-wolrd business registered gets left alone more. They should have clearer rules. | | All times are GMT -5.
