When and how...

OK, since the first ever time I was limited I am always waiting for that horrible time to come for a limitation, every sale I make I fear there is going to be the horrible limitation email coming next.

Does anyone get this feeling?

Also, I never know what is a safe amount to withdraw?

I mean I am currently doing roughly £75-100 once a day depending on the amount of sales etc so may be slightly less some days. (This is on one account)

What other things do I need to be watching to make sure I am seen to be 'working with PayPal', in the best possible ways?

Thanks

I used to be like that until I learned to make accounts fully disposable around June-July last year... so now I never have to worry about any limitations and withdraw my cash out well before that could happen.

Wait at least 24 hours before withdrawing any available funds and don't withdraw more than about 80% of your balance in one go would be my advice. I never let my balance get above £300 pounds at any one time.

If you are withdrawing that amount daily without hassles, then your trust levels must be reasonable with paypal.

By reasonable, I mean paypal accepts your (current) MO.

At some point, take the leap. Start thinking it's not personal, it's only business. then you relax better when you use paypal.

It's counter productive to be in pain. Look at Elijah. Learn from him.

imo paypal like consistency and low risk

do things gradually and dont make them nervous

Not so easy when thousands of dollars can be deposited into your account within hours.

Try withdrawing 80% of $60,000.00, ain't gonna happen.

I tried to withdraw $28,000.00 and my balance was over $62,000.00

I had to beg PP to release my funds.

GhostWhoWalks 02-03-2013 09:54 AM

You still not over that! lol :pound:

I know and you had to wait 180 days/ 6 months for it right?
---------

On a more serious note! Do you guys know why they do that???

Lets say someone sends you $1,000 and you are a new or old account! You withdraw the funds ASAP! It makes it look like "Buyer sends money to Seller" "Seller withdraws funds ASAP" so that in case if fraud happens, they can at least keep the money for 21 days! If there is a problem within 21 days the customer/buyer didn't risk anything and paypal is safe from fraud!

But in your case I had read you had done it for so many years and countless months and then BAM! You got hit with it for selling virtual items or whatever and they didn't like that. But they sure seemed to like the funds and fees they were given from you! I also think that they keep peoples money for 180 days simply to invest it for their own gains at times I think.

Paypal had actually stated that they dont profit from the money held....

See, that's the thing I don't understand. How do they expect you to send our customer's merchandise when you can't even receive the funds? I get that it's for their "protection", so they freeze the account and reverse the withdrawal, but come on...really...

How did you end up getting the funds released?

I got 28k after a few days of submitting docs, then the rest was withdrawn over 30+ days in bits and pieces.

Now I have many Stealths and spread the Love around. ;)

paypal expect users to have funds to do business in the 1st place.

Not having the funds is the problem of the seller not paypal.

It's like trying to drive your auto without gas.... not going to get far.

A business should have capital to function.

the reason for the 21 day holds is because their are too many snakes out there that want to scam good ppl out of their hard earned money

if you are not out to con anyone then no need to be complaining about them

Supposedly this will be a thing of the past when the "kinder and gentler" PayPal gets rolled out in a few months.

21day hold has nothing to do with pp- that's an eBay hold.

Prob just put in place to lead us into a false sense of security :d

moneyhustler88 02-03-2013 08:41 PM

I don't worry about the risk of limitation nowadays as I've had stealth accounts last years..and every account i've lost i know why..i've learned from my mistakes and kept up to date to be honest..so BEFORE i was a member of aspkin sure i'd be like you and worry..but not anymore..i don't know what it is..but being stealth just makes me feel safer..i still be careful about everything on my account though..

It's not about having the capital to function or not. And the fuel example wasn't valid to the question. The fact of the matter is, if you walk into a real store and buy something...seller gets their funds at that time. You buy something online...seller gets their funds at that time.

Well, I say "at that time", but of course you will have a wait time. I have a merchant account, I process credit card payments, I get the funds in my bank account in 2 days. No holds, no account freezing, etc. If there is a chargeback, I deal with it at that time.

So saying you have to have capital to function...of course, but the underlying fact is if you sell something you want to be paid for it right then and there, not have your account frozen for no reason. Yes, there are scammers out there but that doesn't mean everyone is.

Comment was directed to that part of your statement mainly.

Too many users say they have no money to send out their items and horrible paypal is stopping them. Goes together does it not...

Holds stop the wheel of a seller's business plan turning.

A way to minimise that would be to have capital to trade
