21 Day holds
 

Has anyone else noticed that if you have a 21 day hold on your account, you can still receive instant payments for Ebay items you sell overseas?. I didn't know this, all my orders were under hold apart from overseas ones

So a possible workaround would be too have a higher item price than normal for domestic, but free international shipping in the hope of attracting overseas buyers.

New information to me, I normally avoid overseas sales due to language barriers, impatient buyers and costly returns

Selling outside UK does give instant payment release with no 21 holds and also the figures do not count towards your dsrs or claims as this is for uk sales only .
But its not all rosey , some countries are very impatient but yet have terrible postal services so it can be a problem.
As long as you are very clear on how long delivery could take and your pictures clearly represent what they will recieve it can be profitable .

I almost always offer overseas shipping, they communicate in English(or try at least) as its eBay uk. In most cases I find they are surprised by how fast their item comes.

Yes the postal service in some countries is pretty dodgy, knowing which ones are especially bad is good so you can block them

yeah, Italy comes top of my list of places I don't post/ship to

i sent something to russia once

it took 7 weeks to arrive

got an email from her to say thanks for the fast delivery
