Running Multiple Ebay Accounts?

I only have one laptop computer and currently i am running about 8 different user accounts each account is its own ebay account from that one computer. its running windows vista. i want to get up to about 20 running ebay accounts or more. and i havent figured out a better way to change ip address other than changing the router each time i change accountsE infomation on that would help as well even though that has been working great for me so far.....but i would like to know how many compters would i need to use in order to run about 20 accounts? how are some of you guys and gals running so many accounts i see some of you guys running over 100 accounts.

You could use ONE computer to run 20+ user accounts very easily. Just be sure to use one user account at a time, and log off the in-active ones.
You could also invest in USB dongle to help with multiple IP's.

krimson 02-18-2013 12:57 PM

as far as the USB dongle which service provider do you recommend? and do i need a USB dongle for every account..because i know the monthly cost for those are about 50/month for just one

SimpleX 02-18-2013 01:37 PM

You only need ONE USB dongle, so long as you get a new IP each time you log in (make sure you log the IP's). Im not in the US, but you just need to get a provider that offers dynamic IP's, which change between unplugging. I've heard that T-Mobile USA do this, but can't be certain. It would also be good idea to see what provider offers the best coverage for your area before signing up for a new contract or check the pre-pay deals available.

Thanks this sounds alot easier than changing routers for each account..but i do keep a log of each ip address for each router and stealth name

For people in countries where USB dongle is not possible or no such thing, the most easiest option is using a VPN software.

HMA – 40'500+ IP addresses located in 53 countries just an example. There might me a problem with high rated VPN services like this one, because many other people might use it as well, and many other users might use PayPal too. Which in order words means - possible detection (some day!), but these are still 40'500+ IP addresses!

VPN (hidemyass) sucks. :smash:

You have not been on the forum long enough to understand that HMA VPN is likely to have been burned to the ground. eB knows all about this

Hm, alright. Then there're many other small VPN companies around the world (not SEO'd), that might be used (with unique never used before real IP addresses). That should work or? There is something else again?

GreenBean 02-19-2013 06:43 AM

VPN companies are too easily detectable.

Not a suggested method to have access ever.

You can look into VPS services - safer and more dedicated.

gamezoom 02-19-2013 07:30 AM

i have better ways

PeHe oT PecToPaHTa 02-19-2013 08:58 AM

What are these "better safer ways"?

Also - what're the differences between: an ISP or a Hosting company that have Co-Location Center, where are all rack servers.

Some racks servers are used for providing VPN services, other ones - for VPS, Web Hosting, etc. - all are on the same location when you're lookup on whois site - it provides the same info. Curious.

If you are using cable internet you can do this.
- Connect your computer direct to the cable modem and use TMAC to change the PC MAC address. Every time you change your PC MAC you get new IP. It work the same way like you change the router MAC but just more easier.

If you are using DSL then I don't know the way :-)

Good luck

I use multiple ways to get new IPs but my main provider hands me a new IP every time.

I log in and out of hundreds of accounts a week and use excel to keep track of them.

I also tether a phone, use dongle and other have means if necessary.

TonyAlmeida 02-20-2013 03:25 PM

Could you share the information how you log the ip to excel? how do you organized and track it?

There is a sample excel spreadsheet on the forum someone was nice enough to share.

Easy to do, I am very non techie and just put each set of numbers in a cell and sort them to see if they have been used before.
