old ebay account

I was just recently suspended from selling and also they suspended my girlfriend and my mom who was all selling thousands of items every month.

me and my girlfriend used the same address and my mom had a different one on there but we logged in from each others house and did not try to keep the accounts separate because we did not know any better.

it never crossed my mind that all of us would get kicked off after 10 years of selling.

my question is I just found out my dad has a old ebay buyer account and paypal account from 2008 and it was not linked and suspended. it has not been used in years.

if I try to use it to sell should I leave it like it is or change the address? the only information that is the same is the address and last name.

waves Goodbye to the 2008 account too.

:pout:

These are the problems in no particular order.

A 2008 account that has not been used for some time gets treated as a new account. It needs to establish 'trust' with ebay.

Putting a payment to a paypal that has been dormant for ages will see paypal limit the account for 'suspicious activity'. They will think the account is hacked.

Purpose of this forum is to help users be stealth. So we suggest not using old info. And there's your big issue.

Same name, same address of a suspended account will link accounts. Big chance of suspension.
Sorry.

Sounds like a big mess of linked accounts - whatever has not tumbled yet, MAY...not necessarily but MAY.

That being said, time to go stealth and make link free accounts

So wait a minute.

Have you used your Dads account at all? Logged into it?

If so, like GB said wave good bye to it.

10 years is nothing, members I know have been selling on ebay since 1995 and got booted. Some with massive feedback and good standing.

Time to build some "baby stealths" and get some backups rolling because they can pull the plug on you at any time.

urbancomm 02-20-2013 08:17 AM

yea I logged into my dads looked around but your probably right as soon as I list something I would get another email from them.

I had a lot of feedback over 20,000 on 1. all top rated accounts. I had half my family working for me helping everyone out to make some extra money, aunts, uncles all doing shipping from their house and in 1 day everyone lost their job.

I was selling $200-$300 items for over 9 years and paypal stepped in 1 day said they had to hold 8% of all my sells for 3 months at a time and with what I was selling that would of added up to a crazy amount so I found some low cost items to sell and got 2 veros in 1 week my only 2 in 10 years.

about a month after that they kicked me off said my items were too high risk. I'm sure glad I found this forum but its never going to be like it was. this sucks

This is terrible, I really feel for you as you this obviously affects your whole family, I hope you manage to use Stealth to your advantage but you will need to build up again from scratch and stick to using one account per user name etc, I also never realised that you could not log on to ebay at someone elses house until learning from this forum.

I suppose you will just have to be patient, failing that have a look in the accounts for sale part of this forum where you can buy ready made ebay accounts ready to sell.

I wish you luck.

urbancomm 02-20-2013 09:26 AM

thanks. yea I wish I knew everything I know now I would of done things different. it never even crossed my mind that I would get kicked off. I did not know that kind of thing happened unless you were really doing something bad. paypal screwed me by taking all my money then ebay screwed me by taking away how I make money

Count your blessings...You found this forum where the amount of information is enormous but extremely valuable.

As Slim said, time to start fresh....but the Stealth way!
