March Changes to eBay
We’re following feedback from sellers and making selling on eBay even fairer. It’s good news for you as from mid-March only cases referred to eBay for a decision and found against you as the seller will be included in your seller performance evaluation.
Buyers must contact you through eBay first, before they can escalate a case to eBay for items not received or significantly not as described. When a buyer asks a question about an item not received or an item not as described, all correspondence regarding this item will be classed as a case. It will be displayed to you in the Resolution Centre. Once a case is raised, you’ll have a minimum of 8 calendar days to resolve it before the buyer could ask eBay to get involved and make a decision.
Finally if a buyer tries to ask ‘I haven’t received my item yet?’ before the delivery date has passed, we’ll display a message reminding them of the expected delivery date. This saves you time answering unnecessary buyer questions.
