Buying TRS seller account and adding new Paypal account
 

I have the opportunity to buy an TRS account with 1000 feedbacks for quite a good price. However the seller is only selling the Ebay account and not the linked Paypal account.

This means I would need to link a new Paypal account. I dont have a problem to link a fresh Paypal account to it.

However I am a bit worried about the risks involved. Is there any change they can suspend the Ebay account because of relinking the Paypal account. Is it a problem if the Ebay account does not match the name of the PP account?

Lots of problems might happen.

Have you checked personally to make sure the account is in good standing?

Agree with GB, tried this before, been conned, best advice set up your own stealth and make it a TRS.

I agree, it is not really hard to achieve TRS, my recent account only has 90 feedback and it is TRS. When you relink eBay to another PP account, there is a big question right there, why the original owner abandons such a good account?

I would also be wary when doing this..
Is this seller a one off seller or has he got some references you can check?

Thanks for all the advice. The account has 1000 positive feedback and is 5 years old. I also saw screenshots of the seller ratings and going to visit the guy on the weekend to see when he has login rights etc.

I think all your comments really make sense in case and I think I will stay away. Anyway in case I would do the transaction. Would you change the Ebay contact details to myself or keep them the same. Also I guess adding a new PP account would raise some red flags. Should the name and contact details in the PP account be the same as the contact details in the Ebay account (also address and phone number) or can they be different

Has he advertised this anywhere else?

As for changing details, there are certain methods. Not really keen to say more.

This just does not sound like a wise choice.

Definitely dubious. You would also have to know the status of the pp account.
