Default Got My Listings Removed, Now At The Bottom Of The Page!!

Well I'm curious if anyone has had this happen before. I was selling 4 different items then got my listings removed because, well what I think is that my competition was reporting me. This was a few months ago and now after taking it slow for a couple of weeks I am now back to selling regularly. My only problem is that my listings now appear all the way at the bottom of the last page while searching best match for something. While I used to be the first listing under best match. I still am top rated seller and everything is still good with feedback and what not. What gives?? How do I get back to the top? It is really hurting my sales.

I'm wondering if ebay put me on a probationary period or something. I hope it goes back to normal soon though!

Just as an example say you search black zippo lighter for instance, 85 listings come up on 3 pages. I will be the last listing on the bottom of page 3. Listings that used to get hundreds of views now only get about 20-30.

Please help!!

Ah, the mystery of ebay.

Never forget, you have to be punished at all times and at any time if you transgress their rules.

I would be inclined to watch that thread for any updates.

ebay wants more than the Devil.

ebay IS the Devil.

I will, and I will also post in here if I find anything else out. I've just been running auctions to make up for the loss of sales... Gotta do what ya gotta do.

Thanks for the link GB

Appreciate this, Casper.

I log these types of threads to help users find out the nasties put upon us by ebay/paypal.

ah, sweet ebay

After doing some research of my own and checking my "ebay compliance status" I realize that that is my problem. My compliance status is low. It says it will be back to medium in june and back to high in september. Thanks for the follow up GB

Then make sure you use ebay every day like it is your last one.

Ensure everything stays highly rated.

Dont fool yourself that you have 'time'

ebay has trapped sellers before. Keep on top of everything, Casper.

Good Luck

Yes there are a number of factors ebay use to decide on the whereabouts your listing should appear on the "best match" search, low policy compliance I believe is the biggest problem you might have.

However if you gain more sales on your listing it will slowly work its way back up the pages, the trick is getting the first few sales, in my time I have reduced the price ridiculously low so although your traffic will be minimal someone will eventually buy from you.

Then slowly put your price back up to where it should be.

Good luck with everything.

What got you low in the compliance category exactly?

Thats actually a good question... What could cause that? I was wondering myself.

Thanks everyone. I've been running multiple auctions a day to keep sales flowing. I think in a few months we'll be back to normal.
