Dropship --> Ebay

Hi guys,

So, I'm still new to ebay and just wondering.

If I want to use dropship as one of my choice but when my item got sold the customer want to return the item. What the address would be? Your own address or the address of the dropship company?

If you use the dropship company's address, wouldn't that will reveals your supplier's details?

Thanks.

If you want the itme back, you should use an address for which you have access.

If you use the dropship address, of course you will reveal your supplier - logical

That is a major issue with returns and drop shipping.

Even with my own products selling on hundreds of accounts I put in my return policy item must be authorized by me for any return and must be returned to my shipping dept at this address. xxxx xxxx xxx
If I dont authorize the return and it is not return to my returns dept it will not be accepted back.

Naw refers to me rouke - GB has a bit of time to poke fun at my typos :) her hobby ha

As for returns, I also maintain addresses where I can receive items (so I keep access)

rouke 03-30-2013 10:22 AM

owh..I thought she was referring to me..lol

so you use like your relatives address rite?

Never do that.

Keep your own business away from family affairs.

family are nosey so why let them know your business.

rsot 03-30-2013 10:40 AM

As GB stated - I never like to mix family or friends with business. I use post boxes and address variations (examples)

Get a PO Box with a business name for returns etc.

if it is faulty and postage is high, the buyer sending back to dropshipper with your account reference is an option....but of course it reveals your supplier but most buyers are not going to look closely in to that - why are you worried? competition?

stuff coming back to you that is faulty, that you then need to post back to dropshipper can be costly....depends on item

rsot 04-01-2013 02:19 PM

If you have too much problems with faulty items, get rid of that dropshipper :(

Speeder33 04-01-2013 03:55 PM

i agree with sandy d, po box is the best 15/month you could spend, keeps you stealth and you still get items back directly to you

I'm just curious actually. I'm not really worry about competition because I believed everyone can have their own piece of pie..:)
