Questions

I posted this in IP section also.
It seems like that section is small and I would get more answers here.
So I will posted this here in this section also,
The post is as followed.....

Hi everyone,
I read the E-Bay stealth book.
I also just read it again slowly.
I am new here guys, so please don't jump all over me.
I have done my homework and now I have an honest question for this forum.

I mean, this is what the forum membership is for, right?
To be able to ask questions- then get answers from people who have more knowledge than you in that particular area, Right?

I'm not trying to be abrasive, I love this forum and the people here are brilliant and innovative....
But I just want to be able to ask a question and not have a million negative responses like, (go read the book) -with no answers. ( Just being honest)

So here goes..
I am setting up a new account and I really want to do everything perfect this time.
I went as far as buying a new camera with a new card.

When it comes to tracking cookies and flash objects, I got that licked..
(Just open a different user account on my laptop and ONLY use it for that one E-Bay and PP account), Right? -No Problem.

HOWEVER,
I am having a hard time developing a system to change my IP address..

My situation is, I am disabled and live with in-laws.
I have tried shutting down the modem, but

-the 1ST problem is,- it shuts down the whole house.. All the televisions and everything. (We have ATT wireless broadband and it is all connected),,

2ND problem,- It doesn't change the IP address. I cross-referenced with IP Burger and it is not working.

I'm not sure what I a missing.. I'll go read the book again, but
I've come to the conclusion that I simply can't mess with the modem nor call the service provider here...
The reason is, my in-laws are "old fashioned" and they get really "weird" when I touch anything of theirs.
If I was to shut down the modem every time I needed to get on E-Bay - they would have a"coniption".

I could try a VPN right? But then I'm a afraid I will have to mess with the modem and the wires and such.. ( Can't do that)..
Can't get a dial up...
My questions are as followed.. What the hell do I do? And what is "Dongle" - how does it work?
Also what is the difference between static and dynamic IP addresses.. Why does the Virtual IP service provider's on the (e-bay accounts that are for sale) here only use a "static' IP? - Is a static IP not a good idea?
Thanks in Advanced..

A dongle is a mobile modem that can be paid for every month on a regular basis or the prepaid way, the dongle is probably the best solution YOU can get, considering the in-laws.
Now go ahead and get a cheap dongle and try it out so you can be an outlaw (lol) jus kidding....:) , but get that dongle and you will be up and running in no time.

Dongle, phone tether, dial-up (slow though) - among your best options for dynamic IP.

Or get a dsl line with dynamic IP provider

If you're pulling in a enough money, invest in a Virgin Mobile Overdrive.
It works WONDERS.
Prepaid,35$ a month, changes IP every time you turn it off/on ( give it 3minutes )

It is Internet Protocol Television.

TV can be watched via an internet connection as opposed to dedicated cable or satellite.

It's gaining some popularity in Australia. My ISP offers it. Fun for trying to watch sports not broadcast via main stream TV stations.
Can take massive amounts of a monthly data cap. No always great reception.

I go off topic however
