How can you tell if a Paypal payment has been sent as a gift?

And not a service, or goods etc. Can anyone shed any light?

I think their sending address does not get passed to you if it is a gift...

Hmm havent done it in awhile - I remember in the subject line pp used to e-mail that you have received a gift

Be careful with sending sales related payments as gifts by the way - pp isnt so naive to it

Incoming email should define the payment.

Mind, with paypal UK glitches that is not a given.

Whats expletives mean?

Also thanks for the replies, I just tested it out myself, it looks like there are only 2 ways to send payments now? Either Goods, services OR Personal payment / gift

What type of account do you have?

There are more options than you said for payments.
